Australia in India

Can we discuss this fascinating tour between two quite even sides rather than have a handbags at dawn?

Australia should get a new opener along with hayden cause Gilchrist just isnt playing his best but hayden is playing great.

Symonds wasn't upset over 'harsh words' though, he was only upset because of Sreesanth's bad sportsmaship in the actual game. it's silly when playes complain about talk on the field, even if it is rude they are only words.

If you let them get to your head that's when you start losing. The Aussies have the mental toughness and respond aggressively, which is why they are so good. The great West Indies were as intimidating as any side has been, and now the Aussies are playing the same game.

I agree with the last two couple of comments, everyone should support their team as hard as possible.

Ben is reacting like the Aussies do I suppose, by retaliating. Don't worry about it Ben, just let the team do the talking.

And that's how we ended up beating them. By being intimidating to them, sleding them verbally and with the bat and ball.

No. :)

Gilchrist is one good shot away from good form.

His very inconsistant though, I remember the 2001 series of India vs Australia, he slogged at a hundred in the 1st Test Match and bagged a golden pair in the 2nd.

I remember Tony Greig ranting on...

"Adam Gilchrist is gone 1st ball..."

And he wasn't even really out.

The next innings he went out 1st ball to Sachin Tendulkar.

The next game is going to be another high scoring game my indian line up would be
1-Sachin
2-Sourav
3-Yuvraj/Dravid
4-Dhoni
5-Dravid
6-Robin
7-Irfan
8-karthik
9-harbhajan
10-sreesanth
11-R.P Singh

We need some variation so zaheer should be rested and sreesanthnshould play.

Will be a tough call for Dhoni to pick the XI next game. He seems happy to give youngsters a chance, though, so we may see Badri come in for someone for the sake of rotation. I hope we do--I really wanna see how good a batsman Badri is.

Unfortunately I have a midterm the morning after the match starts (the match starts 10.30 pm my time) so I won't be able to see too much of it. :(

That reason of course can be summed up in the following line;
Gloryhunter.

I also agree with some people that Zaheer should be rested, he's not been at his best since the test series against England, this would be my starting line-up for India on Thursday:

1) Sachin Tendulkar
2) Sourav Ganguly
3) Yuvraj Singh
4) Robin Uthappa
5) Mahendra Dhoni C+
6) Rahul Dravid
7) Rohit Sharma
8) Irfan Pathan (OB1)
9) Harbhajan Singh
10) Murali Kartik
11) RP Singh (OB2)

12) Zaheer Khan

I think we can squeeze in 10 overs from Sourav, Sachin and Yuvraj without being slaughtered too much, as i said Zaheer has been a bit off form in the ODI's recently and I've been going on for ages that I want to see Pathan open the bowling!, He's been our best bowler so far and he's got swing as the first change bowler so imagine what he could with the new ball! :hpraise

Leave WORLD_CHAMPIONS alone. He is free to choose whoever he wants to support. It'd be a bit silly that one is forced to dedicate all his passion to a team to which the only reason for supporting is the fact that you're born their or other certain factor. You're free to support whoever you want. The number of times you point this out is rather annoying. Nightprowler has mentioned this before, and I will again....leave it.

Don't know about that. Many times they've been absolutely whacked. Sourav is the only one with some sort of consistency on the bowling front.
