The truth is just that it actually has grass on it for a change. It's not green grass though, it's not being watered, so it's very much yellow and looked like it would be a fairly traditional wicket. Sourav Ganguly however, has decided grass is India's enemy and asked the curator to remove the grass.
I personally wonder whether he's more worried about his top order's apparent lack of form rather than giving Australia's pace attack half a hope of a few wickets.
86.1 Khan to Clarke, FOUR, oh dear! excellent delivery, regulation
outside edge, easy catch put down by Patel, doesn't get easier
than this! Patel's nightmare continues
Anyone else think that he's essentially playing as a batsmen?
I just hope Patel scores zero in both the innings of this test match and selectors send him back to little league. He can bully all the kids with his skills.
Clarke should have been out twice if it hadn't been for that pathetic fellow. The Selectors are going to regret their decision of keeping after the match, especially if Clarke makes a big score.(another century perhaps :upray )
So he left two stumpings and one caught behind?? in other words gave away more than 50+ runs?
Just read that Dravid who usually comforts the players for mishaps actually berated Patel after missing Clarke's caught behind. indian selectors are real nut jobs. even a fools like them should act now and replace the incompetent indian goalkeeper (no i did not mix cricket with football here. Patel's wicketkeeping is equivalent to lousy goalkeeping)
