Really?Well I hope they don't.
dude keep hoping..coz its time the aussie batters started hopping...really it was a splendid spell by both Kumble and Bhajji...the most ridiculous fact was that all the 10 wickets came from only one end...Walajah Road End...

if pathan and dudh-shudh sehwag last just 1 hr tomorrow morning...buchanan will start pushing the final frontier a few years back...:p

Not too impressed with Yuvraj opening, a big gamble by Ganguly there. but India really need a good day tomorrow. that will setup rest of the test match.

If a team looses a wicket late in the days play, they may wish to send in a lower order batsman, to prevent loosing the wicket of another top order batsman before the next day. It happens especially if the current pair have been batting for a long time, and the batsman who would have been in next may be loosing concentration. His job is to keep the strike, and protect the other batsman.

Sometimes it really comes off, like the England v New Zealand match in 1999, when Alex Tudor came in as a night-watchman and went on to score a match winning 99 not out.

2nd Test Stumps Day 2

Australia 1st Inning 235 (Langer 71, Hayden 58) (Kumble 7/48, Harbhajan 2/90)
India 1st Inning 291/6 (Sehwag 155) (Warne 3/95)

India lead by 56 runs with 4 wickets remaining in the 1st innings

Nice to see that Gilchrist's gentlemen qualities rubbed on the team as well. Yuvraj also returned the favor by walking straight away. The umpires were left looking like jokers. We need young and vigilant umpires and not 60 year olds who fail to hear an edge that can be heard in the press box.

it all looks good and nice but I'll be convinced when someone like Hayden or Langer walks :)

They're not that stupid ;)
as long as they keep shooting it down the long on/off's throat they need not be...

a mixed bag for india...congrats to Shane Keith Warne on grabbing the record for a few months at least...till the fiery eyed Lankan comes back...but the number of catches that went down is not insignificant...both Patel and Kaif have been let off...

lets c if they can rub it in...if they do it for another 75 odd runs and if the Nataraja Shot Maker(Bhajji) comes good with a quick twenty odd then the aussies are really on the mat...

I Hope they reach upto 500 runs so india will have no problem in the second inning i think patel an kaif can make it

dude they were playing in real conditions not in C2K4 where Kaif wouldn't have dehydrated and cramped...they are in Chennai - the steamiest of all places...where international cricket is played of course...

India out for 376!!! :(

Aus 121-3

Man,Gilchrist is sweeping every second ball.

Marto and Gilly batting.Come on australia. :upray

Excellent umpiring by Rudi Koertzen.
