Australia in New Zealand

Hes a quick leftie. The great Dennis Lillee spotted him and labeled him a once in a lifetime generation bowler as the article above says. If a great fast bowler says that you listen to him. Hasn't been impressive as yet though.
Lillee said the same about Tinu Yohannan, T.Kumaran and Ajit Agarkar. Hope Johnson fares better than them.

Lol they aren't Aussies, he was tricking you guys so the Aus domination would continue. Whats wrong with Ajit? Inconsistent but on his day bloody brillant. 6 wickets in a test against Aus need I say more?

I hope this new guy plays. Just because he could be smashed all over the place by our lineup. Then again we even managed 85 runs off Lee so its not like it matters who plays. I think we need to play a simular way early as we did in that case. I would love to see Vincent remain opening but somehow I think they will give Astle priority. I seriously hope we put Astle at 3.

Yup I remember that match and especially the way he knocked back Dizzy and Brad williams' off stumps. But the point is you cannot place the same trust on him as you could on a Zaheer or Irfan Pathan. Hopelessely Inconsistent. But I like Lillee's coaching methods. Have seen in person.

casson bowls left arm chinamen undoubtly the hardest thing to bowl.. and Casson bats a bit too so hisa a bowling allrounder

Left arm over-the-wrist spin can be difficult, but no more difficult than right arm over-the-wrist spin, unless you are right handed.

Wrong angryangry. With right arm wrist spin you bowl mainly to right handers, so even if you do pitch it too wide it's hard to smash over the top or something similar. With Left arm wrist spin you bowl mainly into the pads thus opening up alot of "maximum run" options for the bad ball. The pitching area is alot smaller for left arm wrist spinners.

Even so, (and a wide leg break may be not be easy to hit over the top, but is certainly not too tough to smash through the gap) the bowler should be comfortable in coming around the wicket to the right hander, though, giving him the option of playing through the off side against the spin or reaching at it to play with the spin.

Bond OUT Clarke unlikly

Goddammit. Im annoyed and I can't imagine how annoyed he will be. He misses out again. They had better get Franklin the hell out of the team. He is useless. Bring in Martin!!!

I actually think not using Bond is precautonary and also to keep the Australians from seeing him since its "dead rubber" as you say..

That really is frustrating that Bond is out. Once again there will be no Bond v Aussie batsman's.

Not again :( I wanted to get some butt whipping on old Bondie. But good move if hes not fit no point in playing him in a dead rubber.

If Clarke is out White will definitely get a go and so to Johnson.
My team with these injuries
Gilly, Katich, Ponting, Hodge, Symonds, Hussey, White, Johnson, Bracken, Clark, Lewis. supersub Hogg
Supersub may be Hogg but the kiwis hardly ever bat first.

Mitchell Johnson.Interesting.Did anyone see those balls he bowled that went right off the pitch.Bloody Hilarious! He's quick, but New Zealand showed last game they can handle pace.I just wonder if there is another reason, apart from wanting to blood new players, for selecting him in the sqaud?

No surpise there. Its good we are blooding Johnson but I feel its too early for him. Hes not accurate enough and is most likely going to take some stick. Won't do his confidence any good. Hopefully he proves me wrong.
