Story Australia Journey Chappell-Hadlee Trophy - New Zealand v Australia

Mate, just reading through this I can see some potential. I guess you have a busy life (don't we all?!) but if possible I reckon just a little bit more thought put into each update would make a world of difference.

As a newish storywriter, I also think there is a great amount to learn from here . I have taken a lot of ideas from these stories, and if you have a good browse through I think you'll get some good ideas too.

Kiu!

I have come to this forum after a long time.. Good start Aussie, I read the story whole and noticed that the story writing and presentation has been improving after each update! Good luck for the story mate!!:thumbs

New Zealand v Australia at Eden Park, Auckland

After the dismissal of Warner, The captain Clarke had a chat with Hussey. The bowl was given to Franklin.. Vettori had a chat with the bowler and he was taking his time to change the field.. The first ball was on the way. Hussey was of the mark with the single. The pair was too quick that the single is turned into two runs. A tide over there from Franklin.

Jacob Oram starts with a short ball, But Clarke controlled the short ball and the single was on. Raining singles from Australia. Clarke back on strike, A yorker from Oram and Clarke hits the ball down the ground for four. After the previous short, He plays A slog sweep, And the ball sales away for Six runs., First Six for Australia and for Clarke. A Big over for Australia 12 runs off Oram over.

great stuff mate you've really improved on your grammar and presentation skills.

but if this series is being held in nz, it should'nt be the commonwealth bank chappell-hadlee series, it should be the National Bank Chappell-Hadlee Series. and instead of fox sports it should be sky sports but ofcourse these things are minor and dont really matter.

keep up the good work :thumbs

Australia four down, Last man Hussey was out.Things are looking difficult.

12 over -

Daniel Vettori bowls his second over, The batting pair looks extremely good as two boundaries coming of it. And couple of singles as well. 10 off Daniel Vettori over.

Why is this so??

and adding this graphics wont attract readers eyes ;)

May be some other...

Other wise better grammar this time around!!

Australia four down, Last man Hussey was out.Things are looking difficult.

It should be last man who was out was Michael Hussey. Last Man Hussey was out means last man of the innings was out.

Michael Clarke how played extremely well.

It is not how it is who.

I am liking the update but you just need to take care of your grammar a bit. I have problem with my grammar as well so let me tell you one thing that once you have completed an update read it twice from up to down and correct the mistakes. It will help you a lot. You can surely improve as this is a small story try your best, put your best efforts. Till now you have improved a lot from the starting of the story mate, keep it up. :)

Good score by Australia but if McCullum gets going then we all know which team will win.

Mate, you have improved a lot but you still need to improve your grammar. Especially that "plays the shot" and then "looked very happy", the tenses thing!

Australia have managed 159 runs in there 20 overs. Can New Zealand fight till the end?. Lets find out the innings of New Zealand.

Tait to start the innings. And McCullum starting with a four. New Zealand of the mark with the Boundary...... And Well, Other four to McCullum. This is a good start for New Zealand two
boundaries and a wide to start of...9/0 in the first over.... Lee to Ryder, OH well a four a clean strike ... Good start for New Zealand... Change in the bowling, Bollinger to McCullum, Good Line and Length from Bollinger, But Next ball McCullum finds the gap for four.... McCullum is playing extremely well....

Bollinger grabbed 1 quick wickets and a run out. New Zealand were knocked over for 37/2 from 5 overs by the speed of Tait, Lee and the pace-men Bollinger and having chances of defending New Zealand. Things were much quieter as McCullum organised the chase with 40 from 39. Needing two off almost every delivery throughout the second innings, New Zealand managed to stay on track after Guptill departed. McCullum 40 off 39 with Taylor, who was travelling much quicker than his usual pace, were able to stay close to the rate so they required 89 from the final 60 balls.RR Rate - 8.90.

nbyb88.gif

New Zealand 71/2 in 10 overs

McCullum - 40 off 39 balls
Ross Taylor - 12 off 9 balls

Doug Bollinger - 1/25 off 3 overs
Steven Smith - 0/6 off 1 over

Writing needs to be improved. Too many boundaries get hit but the score is just 71. Also you need to tell more about the match only because its a t20 match so bit more writing is needed. But the pics look good just improve your writing a bit. :)
