No Ryan harris in the squad at all. That's the only surprise for me.

As for the backup keeper think all the squads with the exception of SA have no second keeper. Ofc SA's situation is rather unique as our second keeper is a pretty good batsman.

Good to see CLARKE in WC Squad but I think NATHAN LYON should be given a chance.

Here is the official Australian squad for WC15 with Michael Clarke as the skipper :

Rod Marsh explains Harris' exclusion

Full List of WC Squads.

Honestly, this is probably the strongest squad in the tournament. I could be a great team out of the players here, the only other team I can say that about is the saffers but we all know they aint winning lol

I'd go with:

1. Warner
2. Finch
3. Clarke C (how fit is he?)
4. Smith
5. Maxwell
6. Bailey
7. Haddin WK
8. Johnson
9. Starc
10. Doherty
11. Cummins

This Ausie squad is surely the strongest on paper. But with the kind of form Proteas are coming into the tournament, they are surely my pick. @cricket_icon, this time they’re surely going to win.

Hopefully Faulkner is right, he's become an important asset as the finisher and his bowling is good enough for a specialist bowler.
The way Marsh went in the final, I'd definitely have him in the side, his batting is going from strength to strength. What to do with Watson and Clarke is the tricky one.
I'd go
Warner
Finch/Watson
Clarke
Smith
Maxwell
Marsh
Haddin
Faulkner
Johnson
Starc
Doherty/Hazewood

@ SixerBoy11, you need the experience of a Clarke in the team. It’s a big tournament and keeping the nerves is vital. And this is where experience counts. I’m still worried how fit Clarke is for the world cup.

Why is Watson still in the team

With their game against Bangladesh being washed out it's now going to mean 2 weeks between matches. Could be a help or a hindrance. Long break could mean a loss of momentum or it give any players with any niggles to freshen up. Only time will tell I suppose
