Australia tour of India 2023 - 4 Tests , 3 ODIs

Kohli should’ve been not out if the ball hit bat and pad together. This has happened to him before.

This is actually the best tactics against spin.

Attack is the best form of defence.

Man he is been called as baapu for years now.

Even Dhoni used to call him.

And I am an Indian as well so know atleast all the popular nicknames from various states .

Jadeja is more like Jaad or Jaddu or something.
If that's the case, they were all wrong. Bapu is referred to a person from Kathiyawad, Jamnagar, Rajkot etc and belonging to Jadeja, Darbar, Solanki, Zala, Rajput community. Not everyone from bapu. This must have been a stereotypical for people from other states to call all Gujaratis as Bapu.

You are right that Jadeja has a different nickname but I'm just trying to impart some knowledge so you can leave the ego of knowing everything aside for once and get the head around this. Jadeja himself in a recent interview said that he would prefer being called as Bapu because that's what he is. Axar is not. It's due to the ignorance or lack of knowledge of everyone involved in coming up with Axar's nickname as Bapu. You wouldn't call Ashwin a 'jaat' or even 'Paaji', would you? But you can say the same about Virender Sehwag.

For the information of Indian in you, Bapu in Gujarat is not the same as 'Praaji'/Paaji in Punjab, Anna in South India, Bhau in Maharashtra or Da/Dada in West Bengal.

Jadeja was called 'Bapu' in his early days before 'Sir' became popular.

Jadeja prefers being called Bapu

Just because cricketers went on with it, doesn't mean the mindless thing should be followed.

Oh, BTW Axar's new nickname is Wasim.

Spot on! They realized that surviving by defending won't take them far. They are throwing up a challenge against India insurance their own backyard with three of the best spinners in the side and it will test the mettle of the spinners as well as Rohit as captain because they wouldn't want the visitors to take the game away like Bairstow did last time when England were struggling in Tests against us.

Have an eerie feeling that history is gonna repeat itself here. Australia already have raced to 60+ and have very positive from the onset. This bowling unit will be truly tested tomorrow.

I'm banking on Shami/Siraj to take a couple of wickets early on tomorrow to make it easier for the spinners to run through the rest of the side.

Australia seem to be in full control here. Assuming on this track from the 1st inns score anything over 225 would prove very difficult for India batting last!

Trying to think of the last time you were optimistic
Maybe I should discretely change the owner of the post below to throw you off.

Anything over 150 and Australia have a real chance.

This might turn out to be the Mumbai Test of 2004.
