Kallis coming off now. Geez Mitchy really getting stuck in to them. I hope Kallis is ok but this is fast bowling at its best.

Another retired hurt, though I expect that Kallis will be able to continue batting when he's stiched up, Smith has no chance if he's broken two knuckles.

I think he can but IMO but I cannot see him coming out straight away. I will have to check this forum for the after tea play because Sky Sports is going to the slow paced England v WI game :p

Johnson with swing is look unstoppable! What an in swinging yorker that was, would be very few batters that could have kept that out. His bouncers have been brutal as well, those Windies quicks would be proud.

Sensational and scary stuff from johnson.

I also agree there has been a small change in the pitch but not really that much SA bowled extremely poorly in the first 2 seesions and lacked aggresion they were just running up an going through the motions with not much effort.
Hughes an Katich had heaps of play an misses some balls stayed lower than expected an some bounced more.

Late in the 1st day Steyn looked fired up an bowling alot more aggresively an the batsmen started to struggle.
SA just bowled very poorly an too wide of the stumps.
Yes pitch has livened up slightly but not that much.
You can still see when the aussies bowl a little too full an wide the pitch looks lifeless.
Which is what SA did all day on day 1

What.A.Ball. What a time to get a wicket to! Do you guys reckon Kallis will come out after Tea?

Yeah, he just went to get stitches, I think. Even then, nobody can play Johnson if he continues bowling like this. I think we'll see another Duminy special though. Just a matter of someone being there to support him. He could be a silent assassin just like with that 71(93) in the first ODI of South Africa's tour of Australia 08/09 at the MCG.

I think Kallis will take some time to recover from that. Who knows maybe we can get them all out before that. But I expect him to bat sometime later today.

MJ take a bow. What a spell (well 1 and half) of fast bowling. Sure there is something in the pitch for the bowlers but his bowling has been outstanding. The other bowlers backed him up pretty well as well. Its so good to see the ball dominate the bat every once in a while.
