Australia tour of West Indies

Good stuff from Clark showing again why he is our best bowler.
Wasn't a great inns for the NSW batters all getting out cheaply but Symonds reaffirmed his spot. Good return for Hodge as well.

Just checking the scorecard and it looks like Symonds is only doing good in his quest to becoming a Test Match batsmen. Every game he seems to prove his critics wrong.

Fantastic bowling by Clark! I really like Clark. One of my bowling idols tbh.

They are really good figures and its good to see Haddin getting 2 catches.

not a bad start for west indies but Clark bowled really well to get all 3 wickets including the big wicket of Sarwan. Morton needs to make a big score here, not necessarily a century but he needs to partner Shiv for as long as he can and Shiv needs to do what he has been doing.

Morton should give us a ton, because he was given a life by Dar and it is good to see we get one for a change.

WestIndian added 4 Minutes and 4 Seconds later...

No talk of Brett Lee... How did he bowl?

Symonds proves me wrong again...

Lee did not do too much, looked a bit rusty, out of sync, Johnson I believe was trying to bowl with pace rather than accuracy, he is our Powell :D, Clark was miles above them all, and I mean all, except Edwards.
And Symonds, great innings, I mean he built it when it was needed and help put his team where it is and at one time after the 9 wicket went down, he took 16 off Sammy, including a 6, no matter where you from and which side you support, a true cricket fan love to see stuff like this.

Well I guess if you don't mention that Symonds could easily have been out LBW or caught before 50 then yeah I guess he did do well. Sure he's destructive, but he's also dodgy.

And Clark is gonna lap up this uneven wicket - it's made for him.

Andrew Symonds will never have his position cemented in the Australian team. He'll have to keep proving himself to the selectors that he can stay in the team. I just hope they don't drop him after a couple of bad scores.

I wish the Windies would grow some decent top order players. I guess I'm exaggerating because Smith did play decently and Sarwan is pretty good, plus, there is Gayle and I rate Chattergoon to some extent, but sometimes it seems like they plan for the openers to get destroyed instead of planning for the openers to get the innings running. Johnson opening the bowling gave the top order more credit than they deserved.

On such a surface, Johnson might be better served by mimicking Edwards' shock attack style. With uneven bounce, his short ball in particular was increasingly frustrating.

I believe his spot is cemented. When he started playing tests he went through scoring no runs at all, yet the selectors continued to pick him. Now that he is starting to suceed more often he is right up the priority list. The selectors love him for his fielding a part time bowling as well, thats what saved him early in his test career.

Hopefully we can pick up a couple of wickets before lunch. Put the pressure on them.

I'm liking the short stuff from Lee. Sadly I think Morton might take more effort to get on the back foot - he looks pretty tough.

Hey can someone tell me why all the Aussie batsman where using the old style helmets last innings? I'm curious.
