Australia tour of West Indies

Clark looks like a promising young bowler, but seriously, when it's all on the line, there are few other bowlers I would throw the ball too but Brett Lee.

Clark might be a good or decent bowler, but Brett Lee is a great bowler - the fastest, and probably one of the most accurate bowlers in the world.

From what I remember, against India when they were starting to make some scores Clark and some part-timers got the wickets.

Lee is good with the new ball but he just doesn't seem as consistent as Clark.

true lee is not that consistent... but he is a great bowler... you never know when he will get wickets... clark is also doing really good... he has the potential to become the next mcgrath imo...

certainly does i rate Johnson but the sooner MacGill gets out of international cricket the better tbh

Yes, I am biased to the New South Wales players but I like MacGill. He has been in poor form lately though.

Who do you think should be in there? We dont exactly have a long list of players screaming out their names.

Great pace from Fidel Edwards yesterday (got up to 93.3mph in his beautiful working over of Lee). It really is a shame that West Indies did not have Jerome Taylor, because he could have really supported Powell and Edwards to have bowled out Australia cheaply.

Australia may regret picking Mitchell Johnson, whose only weapon is pace and bounce, on what is a slow low pitch. He mopped up the tail in the first innings, but Australia need to clean up the top order if they are to win this match and I don't believe that Mitch can do that (just watch him get five wickets now:)). I believe that the swing of Ashley Noffke would be a better option for Australia in the second Test. I believe that the worst option would be Bollinger, who showed in England how he struggles on slow pitches.

For the record, I am expecting a Brett Lee and Stuey MacGill masterclass to clean up West Indies cheaply.

Are any of you staying up for this?

I think I`ll be staying up for this here in India.
Match Starts at 20.30 IST and goes on till 3 in the morning here !
I have an exam on Wednesday and this will help me stay awake for my preparation tonight ! Rooting for a historic West Indian run chase !

In this match, Lee and Chanderpaul are the key. Whichever one of them devilers, their team will win.

Shocking, really, that Australia have let this get out of hand.

Chanders alone cannot do it for the Windies. They`ll need Sarwan to step up here and Morton to replicate or go one better on his first innings effort.

West Indies has been fortunate to witness superb test matches in the past few years.
The 2006 series against had West Indies battling out for 2 draws where they lost 9 and 8 wickets respectively and the close fought defeat to India at Jamaica in the same series was a superb game as well.
Add to that the world record run chase in 2003 and the amazing 1999 Test series against Australia, I can remember quite a few games which have been set up for a last day finish.

Everyone needs to stop underatting Clark. imo he is our strike bowler. When the times are going tough hes the one who gets the wicket.

I agree. He does not have the glamour of a Warne or a Lee but does his job quietly.
On up and down wickets, Clark will be a handful.

Aussies will win easily. I say by 8o runs. Jhonson will pick 5.
