Australia tour of West Indies

Dare: If I may, say so, just too compound what you already have said. First and for most congrats to Shiv for joining the 8,000 runs club. Secondly, we, ranked only above Zimbabwe (no longer playing test) and Bangladesh took on the best team in the world, the world ranked #1 team and we ran with them, we took what they had to give, and in the end we did not fall short, we infact grew, in spirit and in self belife, deep down inside most Aussies did not expect such resistance from us, the West Indies, but we resisted and we played, and with each test we got better. I must say thanks you to the Aussie players and fans, they brought out the best in us and they have help exposed talents such as Benn, Jaggs, Patchment and most of all Marshall, he took on one of, if not the best fast bowler in test cricket, and he did not faze, he took what was sent at him and he also hit back, this can only be good for West Indies Cricket. Congrats to Ricky Ponting and his team, they did what everyone expected of them, to win. But to our boys, I say hats off, big up, blessings, nuff respect, niceness, they made beliveres out of many and put a few more doubters to rest, they showed that, when they put, body, mind and soul in it they can play against the best. I just hope that our cricket administrators WICB and WIPA can look at this series and build on it.

And to you the members of PC, while many of you expected clean sweep and walk-over in the series, there were moments when you too had questions and crossed-fingers, all in all, it was great banter in here with all you guys, both for and against: Dare, Gilly Fan, Scion_sid, Feelin Blue?, and the rest of you, it was fun and spirited, one series gone and done, the ODIs to come and I look forward to the same level of banter. All the best guys.:cheers

Looks like I could have gotten up earlier as it sounds like the test went the whole day.

Ah well, good to see Casson get 3 wickets although it was pretty bad bowling, i'm happy to see him pick up a few.

Cant wait to the ODI's, hopefully they are in the school hols so I can watch em :)

haha .. well well well... This series ccould have easily been won by windies 2-0 ...

Came so close ..

Very impressive from West Indies. They're galvanising an excellent side. Watch out England. However, the reliance of Chanderpaul and Sarwan is a little too much and it was most excellent to see Marshall score 85. Even though i supported Australia there were times i hoped WI could pull the impossible. Great series. I think the Windies should be unhappy they lost because they're quite capable of tackling and defeating the number 1 test team in the world.

Well done West Indies. You made Casson look half decent with his match figures.

Now he'll play against India in India, aswell will Johnson and we'll probably lose 4-0 or something.

I can't believe this is happening to Australia cricket.

:noway

When the Aussies come to India, they will need a better spinner than Casson. He would be carted for runs.Well, you do have M Clarke though. I really feel that McGill should have retired at the end of the India series.
You need Johnson out of the team for sure. The 4-wicket haul in the Ist innings, well,he didnt follow it up in the second. Also, his performance in the entire serie shas been bad and this continues right from the Series against India.

LOL @ Aussie news.

Full making out that Casson single handedly won Australia the match and that his a future number #1 bowler in the world.

I have no problems with that. Come to India we'll be nice. After all Warney averages 47.25 over here.

He wasn't god at all tbh, hes not test quality yet but you cant honestly tell me that in 3-5 years time you dont think he will be ready and be our number 1 spinner.

That's gotta be a joke.

Hauritz cant get a spot in our FC team even though he has played a test and took 7 wickets (?) he cant get a spot thanks to Casson playing so good.

We've already got one.

Michael Clarke, the bloke in your signature is a much superior spinner to Casson who has already taken more International 5fers then Casson ever will.

God Cassons taking a lot of stick. I really hope he proves you all wrong. I didn't watch the game today, but his figures look pretty good :p

Well done to the Windies for putting up a good fight and making it an interesting series.

Bring on the one dayers (and Twenty20 ) :D
