Australian Domestic Cricket

Well his bowling was pretty good before injury, obviously if he can get swing great but I have heard it quite a bit from him and haven't seen it yet. He has to bowl to have any chance of taking North spot though.

Not a bad start to his FC career, will be interesting seeing how he goes on harder pitches and better attacks. Manou again making runs when SA need it, he certainly has come a long way.

Victoria is killing this Queensland attack, they badly need Noffke and Harris back to be any chance in the final.

Victorian batsmen on fire. Good to see pretty much all batters are in form. And we have potentially 4 bowlers coming into the line up for the final. Lets just hope we don't snatch defeat from the jaws of victory again.

MCG pitch was a road.

Both Victoria and Queensland play each other again in the Sheffield Shield Final

It'll be played at the Junction Oval as the MCG will be hosting a Bushfire Victims Benefit concert. Wonder how different things will be playing on a suburban ground?

Well Victoria only need to draw it to take the title. From what I hear Queensland won't have back Harris or Noffke so very unlikely to see them being able to take 20 wickets.

SA finish the season on a high, George bowled well to set up a interesting chase. Cosgrove the star for SA along with a solid 50 from Manou.

That's what The Junction was like back in the day.

Started poorly with Jewell and Hodge getting low scores but Rogers stood up with a century, and now Hussey has gotten his too! Really pleased with the match situation now, time for captain White to actually do something this time, after he threw away the OD final with a terrible shot.

Dussey finally clicks this season, IIRC this is his 1st 100 for the season? That Queensland bowling attack is starting to rival NSW one of Cockley, Henriques, Lambert, Mail and Casson for worst bowling lineup ever.

Can't wait to see how McKay goes and Watson.

Disappointing to see Hussey not trying to up the ante once he reached his hundred. Good to see the Vics in a winning position but it was an anti-climax seeing a boring days play when I haven't been able to see any domestic cricket all season.

Queensland certainly have come back well. I don't know what Symonds is bowling but he now has the big wickets of Hodge and Dussey.

He was bowling his medium pacers earlier in the day and getting a fair bit of swing and seam as well.

It seemed like Simpson had made a strange decision to throw the second new ball to Symonds, but he had bowled well earlier and on merit, seemed most likely to get a wicket. He bowled true medium pace, but the ball was moving for him and it reaped a dividend.

He's also shaved his dreads.

The new ball does a fair bit, but in between it is pretty slow and low and that's where batsmen made their runs, scoring 0/93 in the middle session, though there is some turn to be exploited by the spinners and that might be of more relevance later in the game. With Holland a surprising omission given the extended timeframe of the match, the combination of Simpson and Doran could well be an great advantage. White and Wade should get good conditions to start day 2 and with a few competent tailenders, they could well get to 400.

David Husseys first century in 25 matches, surprising.

How devastating did medium pace look!? Both Hopes and Symonds caused quite a few problems with the bounce. Very good day for the Bulls after it looked like a horrid start.
