Australian Domestic Cricket

Well, aint this great...WA are in total disarray. WA 6/38....

Rogers gives Jaques the advantage in the race for opener. What a spell of bowling from Cameron he sure is going to make it hard for Coyte and Bird to come into the side.

Bollinger and Cameron would both be slamming down more pace than WA's bowlers, so it's likely that they are getting a lot more venom out of the wicket.

And Tassie are 5/430, Di Venuto was finally exhausted on 176, with Birt and Bailey scoring in the 70s and Marsh remaining on 70 of his own. Clingeleffer is capable and he is also there on a good start.

They're only 44 runs ahead, but if they bat into the next session, the Bulls will have only a scarce opportunity to win.

Didn't stop WA having NSW in a fair bit of trouble. If not for some tail support we probably would have been in the same situation. Speaking of Cameron and Bollinger dam quick opening pair.

Noffke is having an awesome all round game, not as many wickets this time round.

You little ripper Matthew Nicholson! 106 nout out and 2 wickets with the ball! WA fell apart, bowled out for 99! Good to see a youngster like Cameron get a 5fer. NSW started the innings off much ebtetr this time, 56 nout out to cowan and 37 not out to Jaques.

What a terrible battle between Jaques and Rogers for the opener's gig.

Let's hope they make it more exciting this innings around. Or they could just give it to Hodge by playing badly :)

Dont say that Hodge shouldn't open in Tests! He doesn't even open for his State in Pura Cup!

I think he started opening last year.

WA with real trouble, having lost both Edo and Bandy to injuries. NSW could make a huge score.

It's a shame Cowan couldn't go on. Jaques has put the ball back in Rogers court now with a 71 not out. If he fails again Jaques gains a further lead in the battle.

In form like this, there are few players who would ever have a hope of statistically beating him. 150 at a strikerate over 60 and on a pitch that required a fair bit of discretion to get in on.

I can't see why he wouldn't be the best option. Not a player that merely compliments Hayden, but one who will carry the attack when he's gone, both practically and metaphorically.

Klinger would be a great player if he wasn't so stupid. He thinks 4-day cricket is about not getting out, instead of making runs. Thats the reason why he makes runs in 1 dayers and not 4 dayers.

Jaques has more than likely secured his berth after yet another great display of batting. Langer has had a real bad return to Pura, Bollinger got him early this time round.

Bad luck to Dizzy almost got a 50.

David Hussey again stars with the bat, scoring 74 not out in just 95 balls to set a target of almost 350 for the Redbacks.

Now, SA are losing wickets too quickly here, Cameron Borgas and Cosgrove done for ducks, SA 3/15.

I'd just like to say at this point, CA's flash scoreboard is a brilliant piece of work. You get all the gear to visualise the match progress and when they get a wicket, it appeals.

He has done so in the Ford Ranger and Twenty20 cups, but not in First Class, but he has batted at number 3 for most of his career, which isn't that different when you consider the fact that he's often in within 10 overs because of Victoria's terrible opening partnerships of late. And don't forget, Langer was a number 3 in FC cricket until the Aussies asked him to become an opener.

He will get his chance at number 1 for Victoria when he returns from India.

Klinger would be a great player if he wasn't so stupid. He thinks 4-day cricket is about not getting out, instead of making runs. Thats the reason why he makes runs in 1 dayers and not 4 dayers.
He's got so much talent too, I hope he uses it, he could be opening the batting for Australia one day if his fc game can improve. When Gilly and Haydos retire, I'd be putting him up there for a One Day openers spot.
