Australian Domestic Cricket

From bigfooty they have Nevill dropped, Rohrer in the squad along with Cameron. I'll be able to catch this on starcricket :) Hopefully NSW put up more of fight.

Great win! Daniel Smith you tank! Great big hitting at the end. At one stage we needed nearly 8 an over then we got there with 2 overs to spare. Really good batting by Hughes too! woohoo!

Hughes looked shakey early but after the rain break he came into his own. I guess his main weakness in this form of the game is him trying to play that dab shot to the wide ones.

That's more like it from Dan, he just needs to keep that form up. Henriques bowled really well always making the batters play, his batting looked good too, would like to see him being able to build an inns rather than having to tonk it.

Yeah, he hit a good six which led to 14 off the over, which brand the required run rate from nearly 8 to just over 7. It was a vital over.

I feel we shouldn't have bowled Henriques the full 10 all at once. He looked a bit flat around the 7th over, and wasn't getting too much bounce or pace.

Good win for NSW last night. We've only got one FRC game to go right? Surely we can't make the final.

No we can't, but WA might have been able to if they won this game - and there next 3 after it - so it's just so great to help kill their chances :)

That Hughes certainly likes the cut and square cut shots. Probably played that shots 50 times in his knock. Great start for NSW, bowlers did well and Hughes continues his amazing form.

So the Twenty20 Big Bash has started. I read yesterday that South Australia has included Tanvir in their team, but they're playing now against Western Australia and I see Western Australia has Umar Gul in their team. Not a bad move actually by these teams, because these two players usually do well in Twenty20's.

In the other match today, Victoria won with David Hussey scoring exactly 100 runs of 47 balls: Cricinfo - Tasmania v Victoria at Hobart, Dec 28, 2008

Victoria are unstoppable in Twenty20s (and everything else at the moment). Great knock by Hussey, I have no idea why we picked McKay ahead of Holland, he is expensive enough in OD cricket. He seems to be very much an FC specialist at the moment

South Australia scored 182 runs, with Gul getting 4-15. Of South Australia the middle order really fired. The top order of Western Australia is already out and they're at 68-3 after 10.4 overs. The required runrate is 14.05 and I don't they will make that.

Horrifying to see Johnston floundering with a strike rate below one day standards and Doropoulos sitting next drop. Plus, Voges is the other guy out there, they should be in a great position, but they're heading for doom.

angryangy added 1 Minutes and 44 Seconds later...

Oop, Voges out.

Here comes the Victoria machine again. Should definitely have played Holland over McKay. Will be interesting seeing how these Pakistaini internationals go against Victoria batting. Nannes bowled well at the start, what a season hes having in all forms of the game.

SA did well in their win, Ferguson going well and Christian pretty decent.

Can't wait to see Hughes against Victoria, and hopefully Warner fires up.
