India Off To Cautious Start - 0/38

Indian openers Virender Sehwag and Guatam Gambhir made a cautious but steady start to the test match on a wicket that is proving to give assistance to the bowlers. Gambhir has made an impressive start to his Australian debut looking solid for 20 runs while Sehwag has been extremely scratchy and uncharacteristically slow to be 9.

Warne Makes Breakthrough - India 1/46

Shane Warne picked up the first wicket of the test series with the dismissal of danger man Virender Sehwag for only 10 as India slipped to 1/46 from 19.2 overs. Sehwag originally looked to wether the storm, keeping his wicket in tact dispite the wide array of movement created by McGrath and Lee.

However he was unable to beat a ball that kept straight and skidded on. Warne brought Sehwag forward which produced a gap between bat and pad which in turn took out the vice captains leg stump.

wow..my outfield looks so great with your graphics...

it does mate. they look superb. they sure would look great if you made a couple of variations to them maybe ;);)

Gambhir Celebrates 50

Left handed opener Gautam Gambhir continued on a solid start in Australian conditions as he knocked up his half century off only 80 balls to put India in a manageable position of 1/77 in the lead up to lunch on the first day of the test match.

The plucky opener has shown plenty of fight and flair, particularly against Shane Warne, who has struggled to receive any help from the green GABBA pitch.

Gambhir Pounds Century

Gautam Gambhir cruised to his 1st test century on Australian shores as he got his side off to the perfect start in their tough summer tour of Australia. Gambhir scored a quick fire 100 from only 124 balls to set the tone for the innings as India compiled 1/154 still with 10 overs until tea.

It has been an innings that will mean alot for all Indians, perhaps solving the dilema of who to open the innings with vice captain Virender Sehwag. Gambhir may prove to be the final notch in one of the worlds best lineups.

Wow! Thats very aggressive by test match standards. What patch are you using mate?

no patch. its quite enjoyable as it is. its tough to get them out but they also dont stuff around with everyball. its a green pitch as well so it might be tough to bat on

Bracken Halts Gambhir

Nathan Bracken snapped up centurian Guatam Gambhir for a well made 110 just before tea on the first day of the 1st test between Australia and India at Brisbane.

Bracken (1/48 from 18.0) and Shane Watson (0/18 from 8.0) did a superb job to restrict Gambhir and Rahul Dravid which in the end lead to Gambhir attempting to hit bracken over cover for 6, which fell short and into the hands of Shane Warne at deep extra cover.

Captain Dravid will now join forces with Sachin Tendulkar after the tea interval with the score at 2/170 from 58 overs. It would appear that with the early wicket of Tendulkar a must, that Glenn McGrath and Shane Warne will be brought into the attack by Ricky Ponting.
