Singh Enters Team

India also made one change to the team with Rudra Pratap Singh (R.P) coming into the side to bolster the bowling attack at the expense of Jai Yadav. Singh, the fresh faced 20 year old will add another youthful dimension to the Indian team currently in the building stages of their national team. Many would believe that Yadav was hard done by after failing to get a significant chance in the Australian match to impress selectors. However vice captain Virender Sehwag appeared confident that the switch would work.

"Its really just all part of our testing process. We are looking at making the finals and experimenting with a few players. Jai was the man too miss out today but im sure he has a big chance of playing in the next match. Rudra Singh is a very promising bowler and its exciting to have such talented youth in our bowling ranks."

i would just like to say thanks very much to everyone who has been posting here of late. its been great support to the 2nd longest thread around. hopefully the pakistan and indian fans will get behind their teams in the thread. im sure it will be a tight remainding series. if anyone has any suggestions please feel free to post them here.

Pakistan Off To Slow Start - Pakistan 1/64 (15.0)



Pakistan were fortunate to get through the opening 15 overs loosing only the one wicket as Pakistan cautiously moved to 1/64. Imran Farhat was the only wicket to fall in the innings, out for 21 after being clean bowled by Zaheer Khan. Shahid Afridi has looked anxious early, edging to 19 from 30 balls. However Inzimam-ul-Haq has continued to impresss after his century in the opening match, hitting a run a ball 23 to help his side pick up the run rate.

Inzimam Stars Again - Pakistan 4/164 (30.0)



Inzimam-ul-Haq played another starring innings with a crunching 60 from only 56 balls to lift Pakistan to 4/164 from 30 overs at Hobart. Shahid Afridi provided top order support with 45 from 66 balls but the bottom of the table team are currently in a dangerous position with 2 new batsmen at the crease.

Harbhajan Singh was the key for the Indians, taking 2/26 from from only 4 overs to control the innings. India are looking in a strong position here but Pakistan have increased the run rate to almost 5.5 an over.

India will win.... I m guessing this becos of the confidence carried by Indians after beating Ausssies in previous match!!!!!

So its going to be Dhoni Vs Pakistan rather than India Vs pakistan If Dhoni stays for long time India will win!!!!

My rough estimate : India winning by 4/5 wickets!!!!! :happy

Sreesanth Wraps Up Pakistan - Pakistan 10/250



Indian paceman Sreesanth wrapped up the Pakistan tail end to dismiss the tourists for 250. The young paceman returned to his potential form with 3/63 as Pakistan only batted 42 over their allocated 50 overs. Abdul Razzaq was the only batsman to put up a fight as the tail collapsed, scoring 35 from only 25 balls to give pakistan some hope of a victory.

So the task is set for the Indian pairing of Dhoni and Sehwag, 251 from 50 overs at a run rate of 5.02 per over. The Akthar and Dhoni clash is about to commence.
