Australian Tour of India, October 2010/11

reverse swing? I admit, I haven't seen a huge amount of hilfenhaus, watson and bollinger bowl, but from what I have seen none of them looked like reverse swing bowlers. watson surely doesn't have the pace and bollinger was very much a hit the deck bowler. Hilfy maybe, but I haven't seen him do it.

Watson was reversing it big in both series against Pakistan and a bit against WI recently (almost banana like). Hilfenhaus is just a conventional out swing bowler. Bollinger sometimes gets swing (conventional) away from the left hander, but not much.

I don't see Aussies reverse swinging in test matches unless they are having sand in pockets.

Bangalore has been curse ground for India this decade so I do not expect to win there. It all depends on who is out of blocks early in Mohali.

Sid if you are going to watch this match then do tell me if they have allowed mobile and binoculars or not. If they have, I might also go. (VM me if you think it's offtopic)

I will go on Bapu Jayanti. Let you know.

Its not allowed in Pakistan and Australia matches.

I don't have Neo to watch it. And, DD doesn't show Test matches. Damn, I don't want to miss this. Sohum, BCCI won't do anything. They can't get their website done forget the broadcast.

War just curious, I see you using the term "we" when you are talking about England and Australia.

I'm not a big fan of self-association with sports to begin with but 2 teams man? and that too fierce rivals?

Pick a side please :p

Ha sry, that me, i'm always neutral in ENG vs AUS matches.

War added 5 Minutes and 40 Seconds later...

All of the AUS quicks except Johnson can do it.

Watson was doing it during the recent AUS summer & the last time AUS toured IND in 2008.

Hilfenahaus did in 2009 fairly consistently with the old ball in series vs ENG & SA.

Bollinger although he is a hit the deck bowler. Showed during the AUS home summer recently on two flat pitches vs WI (Adelaide & Perth) that he could get some reverse-swing.

I agree there

Mitchell Johnson will be crap on the flat pitches as will Bollinger. Hauritz will get his ass spanked like he did in the warm ups. Hilfy will probably be the pick of the lot.

Pretty weak sauce bowling line up for an Australian team. No way near the fear factor of their recent attacks.

Mitchell Johnson has just fallen off the wayside, if he was as great a bowler as we were all told he would have a shitload more wickets now, even a lot of the wickets he has now are from loose shots to wide pies.

This is weird because I could swear they had a website up a few months ago but now it's back to "coming soon". It's really strange that this isn't being telecast online--surely someone has secured the rights.

User, if you are resourceful there are plenty of ways to watch it online. If you are not resourceful then shoot me a PM

Watson is the king of reverse swing for our side, he seems to get it going before the other bowlers and has the ability to get it going both ways. Bollinger does it here and there, can't remember too much on Hilfy. Johnson on very rare occasions can also get it to reverse.
