Is this the breakthrough that Australia are needing. They have dominated through the England opening Batting attack, with 3 early wickets in the 1st few overs of Englands Innings. Marcus Trescothick was the 1st batsmen to go, after Stuart Clark scored his 1st wicket.
Now its Brett Lee's turn. Just a over after the Trescothick wicket, another wicket fell for Australia. Michael Vaughan the Captain of the England side has to dismiss the ground after he was taken by Lee and Gilchrist. Lee, last ball of the over, featured one of his wider balls to Vaughan. Vaughan trying to get something going for England was throwing at evrything and anything. He had a go at the bouncer that Lee threw at him. Vaughan got a massive knick on the back edge of his bat, and it was sailing just right to the keeper.
Gilchrist gave out a massive dive to the ball and took the ball with one glove in mid air. It was a fantastic catch from Gilchrist, but something England didn't need.

Michael Vaughan heads back to the pavillion
Not long after the Vaughan wicket, infact just another over past, Stuart Clark was on strike again, this time his victim was Ian Bell. The right hander was tricked into playing a shot from Clark, and again it sailed through to the keeper and was well caught by Adam Gilchrist. That's the 3rd wicket that has sailed into the keepers hands safely, except maybe the Vaughan one when he had to take a dive to take the ball, but it was still to easy for Australia. Ian Bell made a duck, and it is now 6/3 here at the Gabba in the 1st Test. Stuart Clark and Brett Lee cracking through the England openers like butter.
Australia have started on fire in their Innings against England. 3 Early wickets, is something the Australians could only dream for, but it was happening. They had a little bit of trouble possibly now, with Andrew Strauss and Kevin Pietersen at the crease. England's batting line-up has failed, and failed miserably. With Pietersen at the crease, Australia are starting to fear.
But in the end, there was nothing to fear. Kevin Pietersen, just like all his other team mates before him, failed to post anything on the scoreboard. He scored 6 runs, the highest of the England Innings at this very point. Again it was the pest in Brett Lee that took the wicket of Pietesen. It was just a brilliant ball from Lee, which Pietersen went to depend, he struck the ball well, but the ball just recishaded off his bat, and clipped the stumps on the way through. I don't think the ball would of carried to the keeper if it didn't hit the stumps, but Gilchrist has already taken one great catch this afternoon. Anythings possibly. So Pietersen gone for 6, England are now 4 down.

Vice-Captain Flintoff into the attack
Now with Pietersen gone, England will be looking to their Hard Hitting and Vice Captain Andrew "Freddy" Flintoff to do something about the huge mess they are in. He will need to play a hell of an Innings to try and get England back into this game, or to post a decent score.
It was a good start for Freddy Flintoff. He knew what Brett Lee was trying to prove with his bowling. Lee was going with the bouncer on most occasions to Flintoff. Maybe trying to knock the hard hitting right handed batsmen of his game and see if he can fool him. Flintoff had nothing to do with this, and was fierce in his approach to Lee.
Lee pitched short balls, and Freddy responded with a boundary. Maybe a sign for Australia, that Freddy is here to play, unlike the rest of his team mates.
Freddy hits a boundary
So with Brett Lee and Stuart Clark bowling out the Morning Session, they have both bowled brilliantly. Both men have taken 2 wickets, and just for a total of 31 runs, its a brilliant start for the Australian's.
The umpire decided to call lunch after the over from Clark.
All Important lunch break for England
Adam Gilchrist has had a cracker of a Test so far, taking 3 great catches in this Innings, with Lee and Clark delivering the ball brilliant to him and the batsmen.
Andrew Strauss and Andrew Flintoff are the 2 batsmen at the crease, if one of these player falls, you would think that'll be it for England. Geriat Jones is a "ok" batsmen and Ashley Giles can find some runs, but Strauss and Flintoff need to post a good partnership, just to try and get England past 100-150 atleast, so they can follow on and try again.
