Bangladesh in Australia Aug-Sept 2008

This is really strange. They sent him home, because of a team meeting he didn't know of.

Symonds sent home after going fishing
Brydon Coverdale in Darwin
August 30, 2008

Andrew Symonds has been sent home from Australia's one-day series in Darwin after missing a team meeting and optional training session due to an early morning fishing trip. Symonds will take no part in the three-game series against Bangladesh following a decision from the team leadership group late on Friday night to send him home to Brisbane.

Symonds' passion for fishing is well documented and he is believed to have taken to the water early on Friday. When a team meeting was called later that morning, Symonds did not know about it as he was already wetting a line. An optional training session was held at the Marrara Cricket Ground on Friday, which he had already decided not to attend.

he was like "thats Bangladesh, we dont need meetings, we can go fishing then come back BBQing and white wash BD with our left hand while eating with right"

Good finishing by Hossain, he has been impressive in other matches I've seen where he seems to pick up a few wickets like today.

Awesome inns from Hussey it looked like he was absolutely gone after the end of it. Doesn't look like one of those pitches where you can score fast but with the amount of high scores we get it's a welcome change.

You know, I'm kind of wondering about the Australian commentators -

one of them were saying (I forget who) a team meeting for Bangladesh? Wow.

Yet, their team is going at only 4 an over at this stage, and Bangladesh have already chased 250 before (with a weaker line up)

If Bangladesh win this, I'd love to see them commentators eat their words :p

and against a way better bowling attack, Macgrath, Gillispe, Kas...[ i dont know how to spell his name]

With no Brett Lee in the series, I can say this bowling line up is weaker but Johnson and Bracken are very good ODI bowlers so I cannot really say that they are weak.

Great bowling by Shahadat, 3 wickets in one over. Great batting by Hussey to take Australia to this score. Now I hope our batsmen can atleast score 200 runs.

what!?! Bengali ppl really needs to learn how to dream big!

i didnt post it twice =S

Mehrab gone! damn! Now Ash has to play a big innings

Oh no!!! Tamim's gone. I think it's all over for Bangladesh now :(

Nice early batting by Iqbal he really took a liking to Bracken. But Johnson and Clark have been awesome today. Bit surprising the bad balls been dished up by Bracken as this should be his pitch.

Mehrab Hossain jnr showed great allround capabilities in his previous match, but he was already out for a duck. Ashraful should have let him bowl some overs.

Anyway Iqbal is out and it looks like it's going to be a victory for Australia.

Ashraful gone! What a failure he's been under pressure as a captain. My prediction is that the score will be 120 all out in 40 overs.

we played WC in 1996??? what the hell is wrong with this aussie commentators??
they were comparing us with sri lankans with wrong info!

and same guy mised up sakib with MUSFIQUR RAHIM? who isnt even on the ture!

No he said SL won 1996 world cup after 21 years they played their first ODI and Bangladesh, even after playing 22 years of ODI cricket, is nowhere near winning a world cup.

Shakib gone as well, now Bangladesh can't get to 100 for sure

He bowled a couple of shorter ones, but Clark bowled an arseload of shorter ones to Mehrab. Pretty much all the scores show is that Tamim took him on for 3 overs.
