Bangladesh Tour of New Zealand 2010

Standard NZ then :p Jks

Although, Ross Taylor can be guilty of that.

Not a very experienced top order though.

rain predicted for the next two days? what do people think are the chances of this game being reduced to the extent it will fizzle into a draw?

Ingram was looking pretty good for a while there. The brain fart on 42 is never a good option though. He was scoring at good click and didn't need to force the runs like that.

A bit disappointed in the way 3 of the 5 wickets fell and as has been stated they were complete gifts. Twenty/20 cricket is hard to break away from even for experienced players like Vettori.

Great to see Guptill scoring runs. He was definitely past due in the long form and its a pretty good time to hit your stride.

Another hundred or so before tea tomorrow? Or is it going to rain again?

McCullum is really coming back into form!!

Thats a good sign

We're in trouble, but I feel about 250 - 300 would be a good score in terms of the conditions, and the team (batting line-up) we're versing.

Taylor just doesn't learn... :facepalm

You're facing BANGLADESH, every disrespect or no disrespect you have to play pretty poorly in BOTH INNINGS to be punished by them it seems. I get the feeling we may turn up, be far too complacent and still get away with it. If they trouble you with ball they struggle to follow up with bat and vice versa. You might not get 400 this innings, but how many they get is another matter. Might be fairer if they got three innings to everyone else's two, windies excepted.

Rubel should try and bowl good line & length rather trying to spray the ball, I guess it's natural for a slingy bowler. Shahadat was crap, Shafiul and Shakib were probably the best bowlers even though they didn't pick up as many wickets as Rubel.

At the end of the day, we can say that all the hard work that was done by the other bowlers went in vain because of Mr.Sharapova.

Just booked my tickets. See you in Hamilton. Carna Tiges.

And he reviewed day 1, posted at BC. Here is what he had to say about Shahadat, and his spell

Shahadat was, well, Shahadat. A person who will remain nameless suggested that when Shahadat finally gets married, he feels sorry for the neighbours, as they will be kept awake by the loud volume grunts while the happy couple do what happy couples do. I replied that I did not think that was likely, as Shahadat will, as usual, miss his proper target and go down leg instead.

2nd Test: South Africa v Bangladesh at Centurion, Nov 26-28, 2008 | Cricket Scorecard | Cricinfo.com

we stop this partnership.

and how the hell do you get 3 run outs, in a ROW? thats..fliped

Mohammad Ashraful* run out (Steyn)
Mehrab Hossain jnr run out (Amla)
Raqibul Hasan run out (Prince)

direct hit on top of that :facepalm

McCullum and Guppy looked great. I hope at least 1 gets a century (both would be amazing) but I BET neither of them do. They'll throw their wickets away. McCullum is one of those players constantly getting out in the 80's and 90's and Guptill will probably feel the pressure when he gets close to what would be his first century and get out. How often do our batsmen actually get hundreds?

We're batting first and have 258 on the board with 5 wickets in the bank. We also have 2 spinners as a part of a 5 specialist bowling attack. We have the upper hand for sure. Today is about finishing off the innings by batting hopefully at least another session and then getting the bowlers out there and getting stuck in. Short balls looked good on this pitch which Bangladesh won't like, there's still a slight green tinge and the bounce at times was just a tad variable.

If this partnership goes another 50 odd runs then watch out for Tuffey and Southee. They'll play their shots with freedom and McCullum or Guppy might even join in the act. With weather around and Bangladesh's batting 350odd would easily be a good score. Especially being inserted.
