Bangladesh Tour of the West Indies 2009

Athar Ali Khan sounds over the moon about this victory, and rightly so.

Well done Bangladesh - fought back after their rather disappointing first innings.

Bangladesh won with out their skipper, and their strick bowler :hpraise

and without those stupid ICLers!

Apparently the WICB are prepared to go as far as to the Champions Trophy with this squad (and "available" players)

What a joke. But again, well done to Bangladesh

cricket is dying a quick death in the Windies. They have been losing all young athletes to basketball and track since the mid 90's. This will only quicken the process.

I think what the WIPA needs to do is initiate a media boycott of the 2nd test match as well - get Cricinfo and the local newspapers involved.

I can't imagine Digicel are happy about the entire affair as well, the WIPA might be able to convince them to pull out as sponsors till the proper squad is back. That'll fix up the WICB really fast.

Well done Bangladesh.
Well it was an even Balance for both Team, but Bangladesh Out played West Indies in the 2inning.
great performance by there batsman Tamim Iqbal and bowler Mahmudullah who set back West Indies in the 2nd inning.

I personally don't mine W.I have loss. since nearly everyone in the team don't have International experience.
I would wish all of them all the best. becasue been Call up to play for West Indies in 2 days is very hard on them.
I personally hope K Roach, D Sammy, D Bernard, O Phillips. Be given a chance once the Experience side of the West Indies comes back, because I can see these 4 four could do something for the team.

I am getting so Fed up with the issued in West Indies, it's killing our Cricket. and if it keeps going on, who know West Indies will just lose everything that remain, which ofcourse is not much.

And again Congrats To Bangladesh for there 2nd Test victory.

congrats to bangladesh and just disgraceful on the part of wicb.

I think when you look at the two teams, not much really separates them skill-wise. What worked for Bangladesh is that their bowlers can bat and that they don't appear to be carrying batsmen at the expense of fielding.

The West Indies can't cover the lack of great specialists with bad specialists. The all-rounders did well here. That's what they should focus on.

bangladesh may still be a long way from getting to real test standard but Shakib is a jewel of a player. He bowled even better than his figures suggested today.

All rounders have a history of being the ones that drag teams into levels (hadlee for NZ, Kapil Dev taking india from decent to world class, imran doing the same for pak) so here's hoping that shakib can hold it together to do similar for Bangladesh.

Congratulations to Bangladesh, was a weakened team but still a great effort, showing the Bangladesh are improving a lot. Sakib Al Hasan is a quality player, along with Mashrafe Mortaza and some promising others. A first big test win, and they are competing a lot better now.

they were all skippers too, so was Shakib for this test. from Day 2 till the last wicket. he was the standing captain... but i wouldnt give the captaincy to him. i would stick with Mashrafee

and as for WI, they played very well too. its not easy to just come in and play test cricket with in 24 hrs. thumbs up to you

Well played BD,a very good bowling performance by Mahmudullah,Shakib Al Hasan, nobody would have thought before the start of test match, but its really great and good to see BD winning a test match...
