Spin was the big factor in the game. It really was high-quality spin bowling by Mahmudullah, Shakib and Ashraful as well, it was never gonna be easy for WI to survive on a dry day 5 pitch unless they had Anderson and Panesar playing for them

Great to see the boys celebrating a win wearing the white shirts on, doesn't matter who the opposition is :happy

This is a blessing in disguise for WI cricket.

Now, WICB will get pretty have to give their top players their (deserved) contracts after they've become the first major test team to lose to Bangladesh.

I hate to rain on your parade, but 2 wins in 10 years is not proving anything. This was not and should not be considered a Test match. It should be a FC match at most.

and Just check how many matches they have played in last 10 years. Bangladesh have only played 62 test matches so far iirc so they are now expirenced in playing test cricket. If they will get chance to play more tests they will surely improve in it. We should not take credit from Bangladesh for their win.

If 2/62 is good by your standards then I will not win this argument. Beating a Windies C team should not count as a Test match Victory.

win is a win...and last time i checked all the other test teams took more then 50-60 tests to win their 1st test. plus we would have won a lot more then just 2, but letting the big guys win to save them from embressment doesnt help either.

and the new FTP doesnt help us either. it used to be 39 Tests and 68 ODIs in 6 years (06-12). we started to improve, but they dont like it. so now its 36 Tests and 51 ODI in 8 years (12-20).

and dont give me that crap we didnt improve. we improved a hell of a lot. starting from 04-05 till now, we started to do a lot better then we used to. but letting us play less doesnt help that cause. its almost as if they dont want us to improve.

and we improved by ourself. ICC didnt do ████ to help us out. and the big guns not agreeing to play (just incase what if they lose) doesnt help either... and there will be a thread every week related to; 'should bangladesh lose test status

Ryan Hinds was such a dumb idea, he can't play spin, which only aids Bangladesh, while his spin bowling may also prove helpful to their cause.

why would they bowl 1st? why? Shakib on his debut, wins his 1st toss too, and bowls 1st. and his crap fast bowlers giving away 6-7 runs per over. till the last over it was WI's seasion, but thanks to Riyad he took 2 wickets in 5 balls!

and not to mention, Ashoka doing what he does against Bangladesh all the time.
