Thorpe is a class act, and one of the most consistent players you will see. He always performs under pressure. That is a very important thing.ronny_kingsley said:: : : : : : : : : : : : :

Ponting might not be that great against spin, but he is a one hell of a batsman. He can really dominate the opposition with some aggressive batting. But he also has a lot of control and can play according to the situation.
Also the fact that Lara cant win matches is simply stupid. Its not his fault that he doesnt play for a great team like Australia. As an individual he has been a treat for the eyes.
Dont get me wrong, I too am a big fan of Rahul Dravid, as he probably the only consistent batsman in the Indian team currently. He is very reliable and like Thorpe can bat even under pressure. But he doesnt feature in my top 5.
