if you are so inclined on averages then for afact tendulkar averaged above 60
on e time and against better bowlers ,and mainly ponting cant play spin hahahhaha

even ganguly is better than pontiong,oh i am better than him when playing spin is concerned

If he can average greatly then they why can't he now against lesser bowlers? Ponting's had more success over the past few years then Tendulkar ever did.

tendulkar got hundreds then got out to mcgrath,also kallis always play well on bowling friendly tracks and has average higher than pontings so he is also better than him

Nah, because Hayden's scoring hundreds and is reverse sweeping your bowlers while doing so.

The reason Tendulkar can play spin so well is because his grown up in conditions which have helped him learn and adapt to play spin bowling. He has also played most of his career on better batting tracks then what Ponting has.

In the past few years on consistency Pontings been in a different class to everyone, he averages 70 since 2002, thats ridiculous! Today for me it's got to be Sangakarra, if it wasn't for some dodgy umpiring he could have single handedly beat the Aussies and every time he goes in he looks like runs are coming although he's not anywhere near as good in ODI's.

You can't mean Ponting because thats obviously not true and you can't mean Sangakarra because this year he's averaged 124 against the Aussies, 72 against England and 200 against Bangladesh, All 3 of these averages are in a different class to anyone else and if you don't count Bangladesh you can only play against whats in front of you and the fact he has just under 3000 runs averaging 91 without the gloves says it all.

The hundred at the MCG in 1999,one at Chennai in 2001 --- McGrath played on both those tests.
1998,2003-McGrath was`nt playing (Sachin scored hundreds in both the series)
2004-Tendulkar was injured.
