Phil Hughes and Luke Pomersbach both are big match players with good records against touring teams.

They wont become the best batsmen though. Hughes will be around the 30 age at the end of the decade, he could be on the brink of great by then if he gets a go soon. Jaques will probably take over Haydens spot, by I wonder when Katich will retire?

Hughes and Pomersbach will have enough time to reach best batsmen. At a minimum they will have at least 5 years worth of games in the next decade and both will be a lot more experienced in FC. I suspect a lot of retirements will occur in 2011 so it could well be 9 years for Hughes and Pomersbach. More than enough time to get to best batsmen.

Gambhir. I don't know why you guys underestimate him so much. He has scored 1000 runs in only 8 test matches this year. He is the most under-rated batsman of the Indian dressingroom

No one underestimates Ghambhir. He has been in everyones current best world test team or he has only just missed out on making the teams.

Alastair Cook. That guy's special and it's only a matter of time before he blossoms into one of the best.

Gautam Gambhir looks set to end up with a career average in high 40s if not 50.

Yuvraj Singh is typically over-rated. He is best when pitches and conditions suit him. That is okay. But he fails spectacularly when conditions are tough. He does not possess the temperament to be a good test match batsman. He will however end up with a career average in the lower 40s at best.

Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara are two bright talents to look forward to.

Rohit Sharma, unless he really puts his mind into improving his temperament, will never be a good test batsman.

I watched Phil Hughes for some matches and honestly am not overtly impressed. However he's got time on his side.

Angelo Mathews is one Sri Lankan talent I am hoping to become a great.

I'm just going to name a few guys that haven't played international cricket yet.

Kane Williamson (NZ)
Should be playing for NZ in less then a year, only 18.

Phillip Hughes (Aus)
Great start to his first-class carrer, should be in the Aus team in 1-2 years.

Kerion Powell (West Indies)

The next Chris Gayle, he bats just like him. Will be a great ODI player, don't know about Test's

Then you have the likes of:

Michael Clarke
Kevin Pieterson
Ross Taylor(ODI) Hopefully test's
Brendon McCullum(ODI)
Jesse Ryder(Both)

I can hope right;)
