Best Express Pace Bowler

How?

I should say that Sidebottom needs a kick or a huge fine kinda like the one Asif got. Atleast Asif got him out before shouting. Sidebottom just beat him, and started screaming like a moron.

But there is one in every team I suppose. Sreesanth for India, Nel is just crazy and looks like he is going to murder the batsmen.

What did Asif get fined for?

And who did Asif get out?

Sidebottom showed aggression, Asif points and screams at batsmen every time he gets them out and swans around the pitch as if he's god's gift to cricket.

At the moment there are no great EXPRESS fast bowlers.

But Mitchell Johnson seems good.

Mitchell Johnson?! He is further away from express than James Anderson is! He can't bowl very well either.

Hooper, they're may be no 'great' express pace bowlers in terms of all times but in context, who has been great over the past 17 odd years?

Johnson is still young remember, i mean, all these great fast bowlers today only showed real potential growing up into thier 30's. 28-30 is the peaking age usually id say.

Johnson gets the ball up to 150 kp/h. And I can say that he will be a much better bowler then Jimmy.

Oh....theres Curtly Ambrose and Courtney Walsh that springs to mind. Also, Craig Mcdermott. Oh, and Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis

Waqar and Wasim where great quick SWING bowlers, although at times, they were really really quick!

Johnson never once touched 90pmh during the CB Series and he wasn't bowling very well either. Of course time is on his side, but there are a lot better young prospects out there at the moment.

Especially in Australia, there are about 20 i could find which look promising, tough job to fill the opening partnership of a Mcgrath/Lee thing, but its gotta happen for Australias strive for future glory!

Asif got fined for a bit of screaming at Jayawardene. I know it was wrong and he deserved it.

Points? He didn't point. He just screams. Which is a gesture of CELEBRATION when you GET SOMEONE OUT not when you miss the edge and start swearing.

He doesn't direct it at he batsman as he's usually not looking at them when he 'screams'

He pointed at several England batsman last summer when he dismissed them. And don't be daft, he was screaming at the batsmen, not a scream of celebration. Now please, go and fix your caps lock.

Oh come off it PC, its the trick of a good bowler is a bit of shouting...I mean, its not as if its just International cricketers get a bit of verbals, I myself have given the odd, "oh you lucky ......" or just screamed and stared for the major luck the batsmen has.

Of the current crop of express pace fast bowlers, I'd have to go for Brett Lee. He has pace in abundance and over the last couple of years has gained more control. He can like Malinga and Tait bowl a yorker and a bouncer, however can also bowl on a good line and length unlike those two. Akhtar is injury prone and appears uncommited to Pakistan. Shane Bond is worth a shout I guess, but he's been injured a lot. Mitchell Johnson? No thank you, the same goes for Chris Tremlett. I don't think he'll go on to be a great express pace test bowler.
