Actually, neither you or I have a clue to his "current" form because he hasn't been playing for a while. I'd put Pathan above quite a few of the players mentioned in this thread - especially when the whole zimbabwean team was mentioned.

Well previous form to be exact as that's all the selectors can use until he plays for India again. If he ever reaches his peak then yes he'll definitely be in the top 5 of this list.

Since we're on the Indian subject, I'd add Karthik to the list.

One to look out for is Piyush Chawla, the indian leg spinner. At 18, he's looking really good. But of course, he's only played a handful of matches and isn't even close to being on the best players under 24 list, but look out for him, he looks good.
