I can't believe how smooth the animations were! Fantastic. For those who say umpire's don't have hats, it looks as though the square leg umpire does, still doesn't explain why the umpire at the non strikers end hasn't got one! But it's not exactly game ruining is it people.

the shots are played very late, the batsman stands until it is like 1cm near to him and bang! a wierd looking shot! anyway, my money is equal between cricket 2005 and this!

Still worried about the AI. Have a look at the 14th second of the video where the umpire is signalling 6 runs and the score is 9/8.

Apart from that, the game looks very smooth, players emotions look to be spot on and the black and white video for the classic match is a fantastic idea and innovation.

I agree about the black and white screen,impressive.I was a bit confused about the players playing the shots so late,but when the WI player got bowled by that yorker,very realistic.good work codies.

i think codies have really worked hard to bring this game to life, I mean by lookin at the video....the game was lookin beautiful. The crowd was lookin great, and the colors r awesome. The game looks bright. There is no second thought that i m gettin this game on the day of release.

The game is still under development and if codies can fix the batsman animation, then this game will be very close to perfect. Batsman have really late animation...it seems like the batsman was sleepin and then finally struck the ball at last second. They should fix this......no batsman foot movement wat so ever!

I think the scores are hardly an intelligent thing to judge AI by. This press release/video was mainly to show the graphical nature/animations of the game. Personally I think the graphics are acceptable. All the player emotions and actions are good--that I have no problem with. The external graphics like the Hawk-eye logo and the replay-logo look like they came from a PS-One game. But that's hardly a problem in terms of the game. And it can probably be edited anyway.

We can'y judge the AI from the screenshots & video.

My observations:
1.Graphics are very good.The players are human like and not robotic as in Cricket 2004
2.Kits are accurate.All teams use world cup 2003 kits,except India.Looks like India use Chanpians Trophy 2004 Kit.
3.The duck looks too fat.

video is ok nothing great but being their first game its good to see that there are foundations for a gr8 series ahead , AI scores is the only worrying fact and i hope codies will work on it before the launch .good luck ea, would also love to see how ea respond to this press release
