Bucknor in the news again - This time for the right reasons

Are umpires forced to make "tests" of some sort before regaining a contract? Surley, Bucknor would fail. He's very book smart, his knowledge of the game is far ahead of many cricket guru's. But, age is catching (more likely has surpassed him by a good distance) and his eyes and ears are failing him far too often now days for him to keep his job.

Its been a tremendous career from a great umpire but I think it's time to hang the boots, Buck.

Naaah mate, he can keep umpiring till he's 110. Absolute son of a gun. Infact, he should be inducted into every hall of fame there is, he also should be knighted and be included in the Royal family...

Did you forgot to put smilie at end.

Whats so ledgendary about this? The umpire did what he was ment to? I can't see whats ledgend about that.

Bucknor has always been my favourite umpire, I am surprised he got removed due to a couple of bad calls.

Its because Indian wanted it. I think he should umpire until he wants to stop. And there should be a best umpire award named after him

No the umpires award should be named after Dickiebird.

He was the best umpire before he retired. :)
