I'm guessing that the strategy must have been to delay the release here for some reason, but didn't want to tell the retailers that - I can't think of another explanation considering this was done by choice.

ross has always said he wanted a Simultaneous worldwide release, so probably something out of there control.

After following this game for ages its so disappointing that theres no news about a UK date when the games out in some places in 5 days!
