Didn't the scum go through at Anfield last night?
Pretty poor last 8 aside from the English clubs, Villareal, Barca, Bayern, Porto.
Draw will be interesting. Is anyone kept apart?
No, pretty sure it's an open draw now. Wouldn't surprise me if Platini found a way to somehow make two of the English teams play against the other two, though.

At least they've gone out, would have hated to see them celebrate a hometown final with the way they've behaved. Still though, how can a final take place there!? Ridiculous, United and Arsenal and probably many more that we don't hear about have had trouble over there, and yet UEFA still give it to them. Their policy for selecting the venues needs to be looked at thoroughly, Athens, Istanbul, Moscow and Rome!

England didn't do all that bad, we had our chances. If we'd taken them, it could very easily have been 2-2. A few more years, and Capello will see us right.

Well, UEFA are idiots, so what else should we expect?? That prat Blatter was at Old Trafford tonight, wasn't he? Will he impose any punishment on Roma for tonight's incident? I doubt it...
:Anyway, it was lovely to get one over 'The (Un)special One' tonight. Great the way the song changed from 'Sit Down Mourinho' to 'Bye Bye Mourinho'. I thought Berbatov was annonymous tonight. He needs to get into games more, grab them by the scruff of the neck more. Ronaldo looked very good tonight, as did Rooney. I wouldn't mind Liverpool in the next round, or indeed any other English team. I firmly believe we can beat each one of them over two legs, I'd like to avoid Barca right now though...

The reason Liverpool destroyed Real Madrid is because of the country they play in. Premier League is at a faster pace and so when you put that with technique Madrid have no answer. Many people in England know that they don't produce many technically gifted players. When you play at a faster pace your technique is tested and so is you vision. So when you get some good signings from Argentina and Spain and tell them to pass in the premier league their technique and vision improves. But the reason English clubs use to fail is because they use to hoof it up field and hope for a goal and this is why England don't produce many outstanding players. It's also why only 6 English players played in the final 16.

That would be nothing new as last year semi-finals it was the same tie and we played well and Scholes stunner was the best goal of the season..

Heard about the stabbing last night. Was going to praise the arsenal fans who braved the threat of twats like the Ultra Pads to watch us. Disgusting that Roma are even allowed to play CL football. Milan were fine last season but Roma fans are a disgrace so is Platini and Uefa for allowing them to host the final. What kind of idiot carries a knife purely to harm an innocent supporter?
Exactly, there's the stabbing of United fans last season (where quite a few had to go to hospital), the incident 3 or 4 years back when the ref had a coin threw at his head at half time, last night and I'm pretty sure there was some trouble with Madrid fans when they played there. Just seen on SSN that 3 Boro fans were stabbed there in 2006 as well.
If it was an English team, we'd have all been banned from Europe for 5 years.

But I agree Casillas was the reason they didn't get 3-4 more goals scored on them. That team seriously needs to stop buying all these high priced worthless players and start focusing on the youth academies and bringing up players.

No it hasn't. It's always been a case of a manager churning out the same old crap and not moving England forwards. This guy knows what's what and England have already improved a lot under him.
Besides, there have been at least two occasions where the manager, if he'd have stayed, would've been very good for England. Venables, in '96, but of course the FA had to ruin that one just because of a few dodgy dealings that had nothing to do with football. And then there was Hoddle. He could've been England manager for years, if he hadn't come out with that healer rubbish!
