You have contradicted yourself there, if the league cup isn't worth much, as you suggested, then how is a League Cup, Fa Cup and Uefa cup treble as creditable as the League, Champions League and Fa Cup. Surely by that reckoning Chelsea in 2007 with the Fa Cup and League Cup matched Arsenal's 1998 and 2002 doubles of the League and Fa Cup.

Can't argue with the point about the team, I've said that enough in my posts. Barca were class though and anyone in England wouldn't have done better against them tonight.

Ah right, that does make more sense. No one is claiming that it is 'the treble' though (that was 99), but we've had a brilliant season to win 3 trophies (winning the league on its own is a brilliant season to be fair).

Maybe this treble didn't mean anywhere near as much as the real one ten years ago, but we have come out of this season with a very creditable domestic double.
