Champions League Thread (the dawn of time - 2014)

Playing in Russia in going to be tough and Zenit are a quality side as well. Beat Manure in the Super Cup and it took a wonder strike from Del Piero to beat them in Turin in the first game.

Cannavaro was rested against Betis, and although Heinze did score in that game, I dont feel to comfortable when he plays in the center. However I do feel a lot more comfortable when he starts on the left instead of Marcelo, especially in away games. Miguel Torres should start though.

I think I'll be happy with a point. I know how it tough it was when we played Lokomotiv in Russia in the 2001-02 season.

That Aalborg player with the blone spikey hair's a gobby little twat. He shouted at Nani earlier for claiming a corner, that was a corner, and now just screamed at Ronaldo for going for the ball and inadvertadly injuring one of their players. Gobby twat.

When has Neville had his hair done and got loads more pace?:D Seriously though, Rafael's been quality. Ferie must have caught Brown at it with his wife or something though, cos I don't know what he's done wrong!;)

O'Shea and Giggs in central midfield. Brings back bad memories of 05/06!

Nani's getting worse in every game at the moment unfortunately.

And for how long has Rhydian played for Aalborg?;)

Second half was nervy but got the win in the end. BATE leading Juve by 2-0!

Mike Riley is going to get shot today in Italy if he does not improve his refereeing. Horrid.

Iaquinta has qualised :happy Cmon Juve :) we are missing Treze .

I forgot to tell you guys that last season I was official matchball carrier at Arsenal-AC. I've been in the same room as Cesc and Kaka.:happy

Berba's got 2. Dimitar > Keane.

Even I can score against Aalborg:D.

Disappointing result for Prandelli, 2 points in 2 games not good enough. Although Bayern themselves are surprisingly struggling so the next two games might not be as difficult as it may seem for Fiorentina.

How many chances did they have? Disappointing.

Just saw some of the other goals. Senna's FK was sweet.

Good that Berba's off the mark now and I agree with the commentator that they'll be the first of many. But man, we could've really deep fried that Aalborg team, they were useless!

Nani was awful though. If Giggs can't play on the left anymore, get Park in.

ITV criticising United despite a decent performance. What was Tyldesley's problem with Berbatov in particular? Critical at one point because he didn't run back to defend, he's a striker! Berbatov shut him up with the goals mind.

As soon as Rooney was injured, the first thing ITV said and always say is about England. Myself and a lot of other United fans, really don't care about England. We've got an important game on Saturday.

Hopefully he'll be back for Saturday, but I also really want to see him let loose on Kazakhtstan (spelling?) in this form! As for Nani, agreed. He's really got to learn when to pass the damn ball!
