(United earn all three points thanks to Wayne Rooney and Paul Scholes goals)

Manchester United 2-0 Aston Villa
Old Trafford

Second half goals from Wayne Rooney and stunner from Paul Scholes saw United win easily against Villa at Old Trafford . Villa had some chances but Carew and Agbonlahor both werent able to convert them . United have taken all three points for the first time this season .

Tottenham Hotspur 0-0 Arsenal
White Hart Lane

It was very boring derby draw at the White Hart Lane . Van persie had the best chance but his freekick hit the bars .

Fulham 1-2 Liverpool
Craven Cottage

Simon Davies scored within the first ten minutes to give Fulham the lead . But then 2 goals by Liverpool with 5 minutes destroyed Fulham . Didier Drogba continued his golden form by scoring again and it was Fernando Torres who net in his 4 goal of the season . Steven Gerrard's penalty was stopped by Niemi .

Bolton Wanderers 1-1 Newcastle United
The Reebok

Another boring draw where the two teams didnt have many chances . But Kevin Davies header just before half time gave Bolton the lead . But Ameobi's header just after half time equalised for Newcastle .

Charlton Athletic 3-0 Reading
The Valley

2 goals from Jerome Tomas and one from Hasselbaink destroyed Premier League new comers Reading . The game was completely one sided and Charlton could have scored more .

Portsmouth 0-0 Middlesborough
Fratton Park

Another boring draw on the same day . Pompey had a gaol scored by Kanu but was denied as he was just offside . Fabio Rochemback was sent off before half time for a wicked tackle on Kanu .

Sheffield United 0-0 Everton
Bramell Lane

Newcomers were pleased enough to get at least a point from what looked like an easy Everton victory . Everton were denied many a times by Sheffield Utd keeper .

Watford 1-1 Wigan Athletic
Vicarage Road

The debutants scored for both the teams as both of them shared one point each . Duncan Ferguson scored just before half time from a corner while Dado Prso scored late in second half to deny Watford all three points .

West Ham United 1-1 Manchester City
Upton Park

The two teams shared a point each in evenly poised match . Just before the half hour mark Robert Green was injured and he would be missing about couple of weeks football . Just after half time it was Hatem Trabelsi scored from a corner and gave the Eastlands the lead . But 3 minutes before the end of the game Luis Boa Morte volley denied City all three points .

Match Report : Man City 1 Chelsea 4

(Kaka celebrates hist hatrick)

Chelsea have made a great start to the new season by scoring 7 goals in 2 matches so far . While Man City had a poor start to the season by collecting just a point from possible six . Chelsea made two changes as Deco came in for Ballack and Belletti started for Bosingwa .

A corner is awarded to Manchester City. Brazilian Elano whips the ball into the box, Tal Ben Haim rises highest but Cech saves the header from the former Chelsea center back.

Lampard moves forward for Chelsea, he shoots, great save by new signing Friedel it's a corner to Chelsea. Frank Lampard steps up, he whips a wonderful ball into the box. Kaka comes in, bullet header by the Brazilian. Chelsea lead at Eastlands.

Richards clears the ball into safety, he's taking no chances. Belletti throws it towards Kaka, he passes back to Belletti. He whips the ball into the box, it comes off Ben Haim and finds it's way to Shevchenko who shoots on the half volley. It's gone in. What a superb finish by Shevchenko.

Hamman commits a foul on the edge of the Chelsea box, Cech boots the ball upfield. Shevchenko heads it down to Robinho, he passes back to Shevchenko, great play by the Chelsea frontmen, Shevchenko get's away from Dunne and shoots. Freidel gets down the low to tip it away but only as far as to Kaka who tucks away the shot. It's three and Kaka's second.

That'll be a corner to City, Elano whips it into the box, Cech plucks the ball out of the air and boots it upfield. Dunne heads clear but Deco picks up the lose ball and finds Shevchenko, he finds Kaka with a lovely pass. He shoots. Beautiful finish by the Brazilian, curled it round Brad Friedel. Its Chelsea's fourth goal of the game. And a hatrick for Ricardo Kaka .

Lampard runs with the ball for Chelsea, he finds Joe Cole. Klemberson comes sliding in. The whistle is blown straight away. Poor poor tackle by Kleberson there, Mark Clattenburg goes into his pocket and pulls out the red card. Man Ciy are down to ten men.

Substitutions made by Luis Scolari. Deco has come off, he will be replaced by Michael Ballack. Joe Cole is off and he has been replaced by Nicolas Anelka.

Ben Haim rises above Kaka and heads the ball upfield. Geovanni beats Ballack to the ball with pace, he gets the ball into the box and Bojinov dives before Chelsea captain John Terry and heads the ball passed Cech. Man City have a goal back, but you have a feeling it's just a consolation goal.

Anelka runs with the ball, his first involvement into the game. He gets passed Micah Richards and whips the ball into the box, Shevchenko can't quite reach it with his right foot. It looks like Shevchenko has picked up an injury maybe hamstring and is replaced by Claudio Pizarro .

The full time whistle blows around Eastlands. Chelsea celebrate the win in style. Kaka with the hatrick. Shevchenko getting his first of the season . Kleberson got sent off for City when things started to look worse but Bojinov got a goal back. Great game for the neutrals.

(Liverpool's brilliant win against Spurs take them on the top of the table)

Goal from new Zimbabwean signing Nengomasha in the first half and later by Robin van Persie in the second half sealed an easy victory for the Gunners . Gunners completely dominated Sheffield with their passing and possession .

Everton 0-1 Manchester United
Goodison Park

Nemanja Vidic header from a Hargreaves corner just after the half hour mark made two wins in a row for the Red Devils . Everton had some great chances which they wasted . But United played brilliantly and outplayed Everton with their passing

Fulham 3-1 Portsmouth
Craven Cottage

Second half goals by Seol and double Nevland(scored twice) sealed an easy victory for the Cottagers . Though John Utaka got one back from the penalty spot but it was at the end a consolation goal .

Liverpool 5-1 Tottenham Hotspurs
Anfield Road

Liverpool completely destroyed Tottenham Hotspur today . Finnan score within the first five minutes . Michael Dawson was sent off for a poor challenge on Drogba . But the game had just started . Two goals from Daniel Agger and Phillip Cocu headed one in and just before the end of the half Xabi Alonso scored from 22 yards out . Spurs got a late consolation goal thanks to Dimitar Berbatov .

Newcastle United 3-2 Watford
St James Park

Both teams needed win but Newcastle today played their best football under Keegan . Geremi scored within the first ten minutes and later it was Obafemi Martins who doubled the lead . But M.Spring headed one back and soon Juan Arango equalized for Watford . But a stunner from Geremi just before the end of normal time saw the Toon take all three points .

New signing Park Chu Young gave Reading the lead within the five minutes . But Marlon King equalised and 5 minutes later oliver Kapo made it 2 for Wigan . Just before the end of normal time in the second half Marlon King scored his second goal . But Reading in stoppage time scored through Steven Hunt but it turn out to be a consolation at the end .

Blackburn Rovers 0-0 Bolton Wanderers

The matched 0-0 but the match contain a lot of drama on the field . Ryan Nelsen the Rovers skipper was sent of in the 28' for a poor tackle on Kevin Nolan . Nolan missed the penalty and soon later Santa Cruz it the post . Subsitute Tugay came on the pitch for just 2 minutes as he was injured and had to be replaced .

Gaisak Mendieta gave Boro a much deserved lead with the first 20 minutes . But after this it was all Craig Bellamy show as he scored 4 times to crush the home side to a 4-1 loss . 2 out of the 4 goals where from the penalty spot . Scott Parker was injured due to a tackle from Downing .

Match Report : Zagreb 1 Chelsea 3

(Kaka scored twice in Chelsea win)

Chelsea started their Champions League campaign with a convincing away win against Croatian Champions Dinamo Zagreb . Kaka opened the scoring with his first champions league goal for Chelsea before subsitute Saric equalised for the Croatian club. Minutes later Kaka got his sixth of the season and the second of the game. Anelka then rounded off the win with his first goal of the season in the last minute of injury time.

Scolari had made 5 changes to the side that played Man City . Cudicini , Bosingwa , Ballack , Anelka and Pizarro all came in for Cech , A.Cole , Lampard , J.Cole and Shevchenko .

The first goal came half an hour into the game. Belletti took a long throw into the box, Kaka took a touch before firing low and hard into the bottom corner passed Turina. Great finish by the Brazilian to start Chelsea's European campaign.

Dinamo Zagreb then got the equaliser . Buljat moved the ball forward and found Agic infront of him. He put Saric through on goal and he made no mistake, finishing the ball calmly passed Carlo Cudicini .

Minutes later, Terry cleared the ball for Chelsea and Robinho bombed forward running almost half the length of the pitch. He put the ball into the box where Kaka hit the ball on the half volley, it beat the goalkeeper again and he went to celebrate to the Chelsea fans.

Nicolas Anelka then sealed the win in the ninety-third minute. Cudicini took a short goal kick to Carvalho who knocked the ball upfield. Deco picked up the lose ball, his pinpoint pass found Anelka who made no mistake and finished the ball passed Turina.

The full time whistle blew with Scolari clapping the Chelsea players. Kaka was awarded the man of the match award with two goals . Chelsea will face Werder Bremen at home in the next Champions League encouter before that they would invite struggling Middlesborough at Stamford Bridge .

Match Report : Chelsea 2 Middlesbrough 2

(Tuncay Sanli scored the first goal of the match)

In the relegation zone Middlesbrough have a hard task at Stamford Bridge . Gareth Southgate's side have only drawn one game this season and have got just 1 point from possible twelve . Eleven points between these two clubs.

5 changes made by Scolri to the team that won away at Zagreb . Cech , Lampard , A.Cole , J.Cole and Shevchenko coming in for Cudicini , Deco , Belletti , Robinho and Pizarro .

Burst down the right from Joe Cole, he flicks the ball passed Pogatez, foul by the left back, yellow card awarded. Lampard whips the free kick in, Shevchenko gets his head on the ball, superb save by Russian keeper Ovchinnikov from point blank range.

Pass inside from Downing to Rochemback, he moves forward and looks for Sanli in the box, he turns and shoots, it's hit the post. Great effort by the Turkish international. Everyone in the stadium thought that one was in when it beat Cech.

Goal kick to Middlesbrough, Ovchinnikov kicks it upfield, Mido takes it down beautifully on his chest, he drifts outwide to the left and plays a beautiful ball into the box, Tuncay Sanli gets on the end of it, it's beaten Cech , Boro lead at Stamford Bridge, this is a huge shock for Chelsea supporters.

Foul on Joe Cole, again by Pgatez. Phil Dowd is calling Emmanuel Pogatez over, it could be a second yellow for the Austrian international left back. It is, Pogatez has been sent off. That is harsh for a second yellow card but he did stop Joe Cole from getting passed blocking him off.

Free kick to Middlesbrough and it's on the edge of the Chelsea box. Mendiata has pushed his team mates away he is taking this one. It's flowing into the top corner, what a free kick by Gaisak Mendiata, Petr Cech had no chance. Ten men Middlesbrough have doubled there lead at the home of Chelsea.

Throw in to Chelsea. Bosingwa throws it to Kaka, he plays it over to Shevchenko who flicks it to Ballack, he finds Anelka who feeds it to Kaka, he plays it through to Shevchenko who fires it low and hard into the box, Lampard gets a foot on it, it's wrong footed Ovchinnikov and it's gone in. Chelsea have a goal back through there top scoring midfielder Lampard.

Free kick in a very dangerous position for Chelsea and it's going to be taken by Michael Ballack.He knocks it in, it's cleared by Gabbidon, he plays it into the box to Kaka who flicks it to Shevchenko, he gets round Ovchinnikov and tucks it away, Chelsea have pulled two goals back and have equalized.

The full time whistle blows, Chelsea have rescued a point, they shouldn't even of been in that position but fair play to Middlesbrough. Scolari claps the fans and shakes the hand of Sanli the goalscorer of Boro's first goal this evening.
