Commentary Thread

the worst thing is the team in my league who i have abit of a rivalry with needed 6 off the last over to win, and they did it

I won mine by 10 wickets. Chased down the 169 required to win in 27.1 overs. Veternan Cox hit 81 off 102, and Aussie import Conelly smashed 74 off 66 balls. Crouch got MOTM for his 4 wickets and a catch. His four wickets were big too. His victims were:

Colley -Wage 2,916, BTR 11,391, Not a keeper- for 11.
Cleverley -Wage 2,648, BTR 14,537, Not a keeper- for a golden duck
Nash -Wage 972, BTR 9,821, Not a keeper- for 1

So a couple of really good victims there :) A good warmup for my thrashing of the Wulfs tommorow :)

Yeah, yeah, we'll see :p Very considerate of you to prepare a dusty pitch for Hemmings - he took 4-15 in my last match.

Tuckett has taken a 5/10 on a green pitch, so facing your batsmen on a duaty will be a dream for him.
And Crouch took 4/23 on a dusty pitch himself. Against much better batsmen.

Couldn't get much better

42.6 W Zakauddin to Browne
Hits him on the foot right in front of middle stump. Start the long walk, you're out!
42.5 1 Zakauddin to De wouw
Solid stroke to the on. Sparrow fielding as the batsmen are tempted for a second run.
42.4 W Zakauddin to Stockdale
Thats a great shot by Stockdale, but unfortunately it is matched by a great catch from Chanderpaul and he's out!
42.3 . Zakauddin to Stockdale
Late lift, managed to push it back to the ground.
42.2 W Zakauddin to Drost
Huge yorker! He had no chance with that one, Kazmi shields his face as the stumps explode from out of the ground, Drost was rooted. Zakauddin is delighted with that, and he has every reason to celebrate.
42.1 . Zakauddin to Drost
On the toes, pushed back into the ground, point quick to field.

A great start to the innings as well...

2.4 4 Browne to Zahid
The fielder isn't stopping that one.

1.4 4 De wouw to Akhunzada
There is only a matter of feet between those two fielders, but Akhunzada separated them as though it were miles. A boundary to tell to the grandkids about!

1.2 4 De wouw to Akhunzada
Akhunzada jumps down the track to a fair length ball, square driving on the up through backward point, remarkable shot.

0.5 2 Browne to Akhunzada
Slower delivery down the leg side and Akhunzada glances it away fine for a couple of runs.

0.4 4 Browne to Akhunzada
Poor ball on his legs which is easily glanced away to the square leg boundary for four.

0.3 6 Browne to Akhunzada
Akhunzada has smashed that one straight over the head of Browne and...... yes, out of the stadium. That was the biggest hit I've seen in my career!

0.1 4 Browne to Akhunzada
Shot! Overpitched on the legs, clipped superbly away through square leg, two men posted on the boundary but he still finds the gap.

Excellent way to finish of the match...won it easily in the end...

And that's the end of the match. Pakistani Legend won by 10 wickets.
BFN Bombers 178-10
Pakistani Legend 183-0

End of Over 36: 183-0, runrate=5.08
Barnard 7-0-60-0
Akhunzada* 103 (103 balls)
Zahid 71 (113 balls)

35.3 6 Barnard to Zahid
Zahid's smashed that for six. They'll need stamps to mail that one back!

well done Bilal Mate....

HO HO HO i cant believe how lucky i am, last cup game i won by 2 runs this time i won by 1 RUN......

Hasis Legends: 320/5
Zaidi 109 (106)
Saleemudin 96 (107)
Bennet 65 (48)

Pakistani Cobra: 319/7
Mugheeshudin 97 (106)
Hameez 107 (124)
Mani 41* (27)

In the end i won by 1 run and Zaidi once again MOM

End of Over 17: 68-6, runrate=4.00, reqrunrate=9.55 (382-2)
Scholes 4-0-17-4
Hansen* 1 (6 balls)
Akhlagullah 0 (0 balls)
I batted first by the way and Hume scored a massive hundred. Zainawan is getting hammered. I shouldn't really have played him but I had no friendly arranged until yesterday. And I can't really play a weaker XI as well, as I only have a squad of 14, all of whom are very good.

And next time it's gonna be a draw :p

And we're off!

We can tell you that TT Lions won the toss and elected to bat. The pitch is looking a bit on the dry side. A fair bit of help for the spinners today I think..

Yep, should be an excellent match. Happy to be bowling first!

0.4 . Otto to Crouch
It's at times like this I wonder why I became a cricket commentator. Because to be honest, there isn't much to say about that ball at all...
0.3 W Otto to Dunn
Dunn's belted that one, but he wasn't in control and so it didn't come off the middle of the bat. It's going to be either a six or a wicket. Purse steadies himself... OUT! Safe hands young man, you can carry the beers later!
0.2 W Otto to Cox
Otto got down well to that and has taken a great catch! That was hit back with some power

0.1 . Otto to Cox
Stout defence from Cox.

:D

End of Over 1: 0-2, runrate=0.00
Otto 1-1-0-2
Conelly* 0 (0 balls)
Crouch 0 (3 balls)

Good lad Otto :)
