i missed todays match :p

Murray seems to be losing tosses, they wn the toss and elected to bat on a green top. Poor decision it seems as they were bowled out for 77 :D

Whittingham cleared the top with a slight assistance from Illanganage. Ryno cleared the middle and and Polonowita cleared the tail, Poke didnt get any wickets and Cash didnt play.

Illanganage 1/14 off 2
Poke 0/13 off 3
Whittingham 4/11 off 4
Polnowita 2/15 off 3
Ryno 2/23 off 4

Murray and Overton opened and put up the required 79 off 8.4 overs. Murray hit 45 off 29 and Overton hit 33 off 23.

4. Mitchells11 3 0 0 3 0 -13.80

Comfortably winning the league, NRR would be even higher had I not TIE'd today. Luck of the draw from now on, hopefully I'll get a few rounds further in yet.

Effortless win in my third match. Bowled them out for 97, chased it 11.5 overs with the loss of a wicket. Crouch MOTM for his 4/28 and 52*. I TIEd this, still comfortable. Onto the knockouts!

Amazing final match for my league. It was my team against another, with the winner advancing. This should have been an easy win for me, but I was trying to experiment with my line-up and ended up making the task needlessly difficult. Basically, one of my batsmen got out on the penultimate ball of the innings and with two required off the last ball for the win. Luckily, the next batman sealed the match by hitting a six off the final ball.

Good end to the group stages, batted first and got 260 thanks to:

Mckenzie not out 144 off 67 (13 Fours 7 Sixes)
Abdul kadir not out 107 off 53 (7 Fours 6 Sizes)

and then bowled them out for 45 in 7 overs
Masilo 2-0-9-3
Alshaun 3-0-13-4
Ahmed 2-0-18-2
Spinners didnt get to bowl:p oh well on to the knockout round which i dont think i will last long in:p

Lol Phil you had no chance, at least you did better than my effort against a good team and he was no where near your opponent.

260 without the bug what an effort.

End of Over 20: 182-0, runrate=9.10
Alshaun 4-0-43-0
Singh* 114 (70 balls)
Swann 61 (51 balls)
bowlers bowled the best they could but still couldny get any wickets:( lets hope the chase goes well

3.1 W Haldane to Abdul kadir
Abdul kadir tried but he couldn't pull the bat away quickly enough. Great movement off the seam and it flies into Deakin's hands.
Not good....

3.2 4 Haldane to Karthikeyan
Straight drive from Karthikeyan, that was four as soon as he hit it
4.4 4 Hitchman to Karthikeyan
He gives himself room and picks it up through long off for four.
4.2 4 Hitchman to Karthikeyan
Karthikeyan uses his feet well and lofts the ball into the vacant extra cover region. Swann chases in vain as the ball skips over the rope.
Thats it Karthikeyan keep it up

5.2 W Haldane to Karthikeyan
OUT! A huge mistimed pull shot, the ball balloons in the air and Wellens takes an easy catch straight down his throat
Aaah not again:( (Bt Collapse?)

End of Over 7: 53-2, runrate=7.57, reqrunrate=10.00 (182-0)
Hitchman 2-0-27-0
Rampaul* 3 (5 balls)
Mckenzie 21 (18 balls)

Last Wicket: Karthikeyan c. Wellens b. Haldane 18 (FOW: 37/2)
Mckenzie and Rampaul need a good partnership here

8.1 W Wellens to Mckenzie
Hook, line and sinker! Wellens tempts Mckenzie into fishing outside off stump, Hitchman reeling in an ugly outside edge at slip.
Nooo....

8.6 6 Wellens to Rampaul
He's hit that clean as a whistle over Wellens's head. It's right out of the ground!
9.2 4 Pugh to Rampaul
Stick a ribbon on it and call it a present! Any delivery like that and Rampaul is going to send it away to the boundary. Four more.
Thats the way:)
End of Over 10: 71-3, runrate=7.10, reqrunrate=11.20 (182-0)
Pugh 2-0-9-0
Hocking* 3 (6 balls)
Rampaul 17 (14 balls)

Last Wicket: Mckenzie c. Hitchman b. Wellens 22 (FOW: 55/3)
Half way thru the overs but not the runs:(...gonna take something special from rampaul and hocking to win this match Need to score at atleast 9 runs per over in the next 5 and then last 5 go crazy

10.4 W Wellens to Bowler
Goes for the big shot but doesn't connect well. Good catch by Haldane running round from square leg.
10.3 W Wellens to Hocking
It's gone high in the air... a straight forward catch. He's out!
Okay not winning this game anymore...
End of Over 11: 76-5, runrate=6.91, reqrunrate=11.89 (182-0)
Wellens 2-0-14-3
Angell* 1 (1 balls)
Rampaul 17 (15 balls)

Last Wicket: Bowler c. Haldane b. Wellens 0 (FOW: 75/5)

And that's the end of the match. Westbury and UB won by 69 runs.
Westbury and UB 182-0
Borncricketers XI 113-10

End of Over 17: 113-10, runrate=6.65
Singh 2-0-12-1
Rampaul* 28 (22 balls)
Oh well thats the end of the game:( and the end of my 20/20:(

Tough luck BC.... Better luck next season!

I might win this!! GFIing against a superior opponent (Posted his stats in the Seldging thread above), here is the situation:

End of Over 3: 19-1, runrate=6.33, reqrunrate=2.06 (53-10)
Motterham 2-0-6-1
Cutler* 5 (3 balls)
Dennis 11 (12 balls)

Last Wicket: Crouch lbw b. Motterham 0 (FOW: 0/1)
:D:D
Crouch too 4/10! Legend! Got a duck though, but when you bowl so well, who cares? :p Tuckett took 3 wickets in an over, and Folkes, Rudi and Eli a wicket apiece (Eli and Rudi both struck first ball) :)

3.2 6 Hislop to Cutler
That ball has ended up in space. Well, at least as far as Ipswich.
3.1 4 Hislop to Cutler
Worked around to fine leg, misfield and a boundary is the result.
:)
3.4 W Hislop to Cutler
New stumps please. That delivery has snapped middle stump in two.

End of Over 4: 29-2, runrate=7.25, reqrunrate=1.56 (53-10)
Hislop 2-0-21-1
Dennis* 11 (12 balls)
Rudi 0 (2 balls)

Last Wicket: Cutler b. Hislop 15 (FOW: 29/2)
Rudi in, surely I can't lose this?

5.5 6 Hislop to Rudi
Edged and surely out! No, its gone all the way!
5.4 4 Hislop to Rudi
Driven square through backward point and that's a lovely shot. Rudi hardly sets off to run, knowing it's four all the way.
Brilliant! Against a bowler with wages of around $2,200, so a Stron bowler by my assumption.
End of Over 6: 48-2, runrate=8.00, reqrunrate=0.43 (53-10)
Hislop 3-0-33-1
Rudi* 12 (9 balls)
Dennis 18 (17 balls)

Last Wicket: Cutler b. Hislop 15 (FOW: 29/2)
Victory in sight! Next round, here I come :)
Must say, Dennis has played brill for a Med-Resp against a seam attack rated Quality at full strength with an Aus NT player in it...

6.4 W Street to Dennis
Out! Motterham was placed there just for that shot, and he takes an easy chance at head height. Smart cricket there from the fielding team.
Well, I jinxed him.
7.1 W Flitney to Rudi
That one's cut back a mile! Rudi is rushed into a defensive stroke but only succeeds in edging the ball tamely to Motterham at slip.
:(

7.2 4 Flitney to Giddings
He managed to play that one past extra cover. The sweeper gets a hand to it but the ball still rolls over the rope.
Scores tied!
7.4 W Flitney to Giddings
There's a mix up with the batsmen and out!!!
Oh COME ON!
Well, no way of losing this, that's fer sure...Abdeen and Shipp batting...

8.5 1 Hislop to Abdeen
Short ball from Hislop and it's smartly cut through a vacant gully region for a solitary run.
There it is! :)

Damn, I thought Baseball on valium were a easy team.. I knew I should've PAN. Looks like theres very little hope for me in this game.

End of Over 12: 82-7, runrate=6.83, reqrunrate=12.50 (181-6)
Hollis 3-0-13-3
Burn* 3 (10 balls)
Shahbaz 46 (27 balls)
