Commentary Thread

This should be interesting last time I batted first against Jdeus he chased my total down with relative ease. I can't remember if I put Sawyer as bowler hope I did or else I will have a noob bowling!

Been a good recovery after Swales awesome opening spell.
When he left

End of Over 13: 58-1, runrate=4.46
Swales 7-0-24-1
Chavhanga* 7 (9 balls)
Germon 27 (39 balls)
Last Wicket: Masibulele c. Barlow b. Swales 24 (FOW: 35/1)

And now

End of Over 20: 121-1, runrate=6.05
Ferguson 5-0-46-0
Chavhanga* 42 (31 balls)
Germon 53 (61 balls)
Last Wicket: Masibulele c. Barlow b. Swales 24 (FOW: 35/1)

Awesome 50 by Germon and Chav looks like he needs to be somewhere :p
18.5 2 Faulkner to Germon
A delicate late cut is reeled in just inside the boundary.
And that's his fifty! Well played.

In my first game as The Southern Sharks v Handsomes Mob I got smashed

He scored 4/342 in his 50 overs but Mbeki bowled well with poor PFL but Dangie got HAMMERED for 92 runs!

I chased and scored 262 Kemp finally performed with a quicfire 53 and Wotton hit 127 at around a run a ball...

Wotton wins the Whitehouse/Wotton comp as he scored a century... Whitehouse tied him down but couldnt finish him off. I sense this rivalry will continue... on a greener pitch :p

Flat pitch.......and yeah it always is about the team's performance in the end.

SS Vs RB ....RB win ;)

Welcome to Jaegermeister and Smirnoff Oval for the match between BFN Bombers and Assassins.

We can tell you that BFN Bombers won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking a little uneven. Should be tough for the batsmen on this partially cloud day.

Lets join our team for ball-by-ball commentary.

Okay so Assassins are setting a total, hopeully it won't be too big and I won't be bundled out for something silly trying to chase it.

1.4 . Singh to Wajihullah
Thick outside edge bounces just short of first slip.

Hopefully that means a wicket is near!

2.6 . Samuel to Wajihullah
Very fast delivery, and Samuel gives a little yelp as it just whistles past the edge of the bat. I must say, it's good to see Samuel in the side today; perhaps we'll even catch a glimpse of his dauntingly attractive wife.

My new favourite line of commentary!

4.3 W Samuel to Wajihullah
In the air... and out!

6.1 W Samuel to Kampa
Deceived by the slower ball, Kampa plays his shot far too early and edges it straight into Meyer's grateful gloves.

Breakthrough!

And the BB have finally done it, the duck against Blanco Blitzers is no longer Blanco :p

My team collapsed around Chav once Germon left leaving what should have been 300+ to be all out for 275. Chav starting the season with a 107 of 107 balls.

In reply bowled Jdeus out for 104 in 30 overs. Sawyer star of the show with 3-15 off 8 overs, Barrowdale backing him up with an opening 7 over spell of 2-22. Clayden and Hamed also got 2.

End of Over 33: 109-5, runrate=3.30, reqrunrate=7.00 (227-10)
Mohit 7-0-29-0
Mainey* 5 (25 balls)
Nicholls 50 (78 balls)
Last Wicket: Gore b. Dickman 36 (FOW: 94/5)

Well things havn't gone quite as well as I have hoped, but I don't think this is a half bad batting effort against a wonderful seam attack. I'll be happy if we somehow manage to see out 50 overs, but the lads have done well so far.

Well done on your win and nice pun. I've played jdeus once and beaten him once

I have noob in the cup, so I'm playing a considerably weakened side, practically my FC side really.

End of Over 17: 66-2, runrate=3.88
Bollingham 2-0-6-0
Jarvis* 5 (9 balls)
Howell 33 (60 balls)
Last Wicket: Macken c. Beresford b. Singh 14 (FOW: 28/2)

You're lucky Justin, the guy I'm gonna play(starts in 38 minutes) is gnna murder me...

0.3 W Sotho to Nguyen-lee
Rapped on the pads dead in front. Beaten for pace there and the appeal is a formality.
0.2 1 Sotho to Ungapake
Turned through mid wicket. Ungapake wants two but his partner rightly sends him back.
0.1 W Sotho to Geel
A bouncer has struck Geel in the helmet. He staggers backwards through the stumps. Out!

End of Over 1: 4-2, runrate=4.00
Sotho 1-0-4-2
Egon* 1 (1 balls)
Ungapake 3 (3 balls)
Last Wicket: Nguyen-lee lbw b. Sotho 0 (FOW: 1/2)

!!! What a start!

Hehe, all my bowlers are med's expcet Singh who is prof in this game, more than a decent bowling performance I reckon. Batting isn't quite as weak overall, so it should be a pretty easy total to chase.

End of Over 8: 25-5, runrate=3.13
Lekgwathi 4-0-12-1
Soloman* 3 (10 balls)
Whitmarsh 1 (3 balls)
Last Wicket: Creasey c. Rose b. Sotho 6 (FOW: 21/5)

This is a Havant & Waterlooville kind of game, me being them!(I'm bowling)
