You'd think a Nightwatchman control would be easy to set up. You only need to specify how long before stumps that the nightwatchman becomes active and who he is; those factors are so simple that it could even be automated so that individual captains have a preference and try to pick the most appropriate tailender.

The trouble is obviously something in the match engine that doesn't like players swapping positions during the match.

Seems like I had a nightwatchman disguised as a batter.
36 from 136 balls well in :)

End of Over 86 (1 runs). Baggy Blues: 299-4, runrate=3.48
Lead by 167 runs. (SCIB 132-10)
Jaco 25-7-50-1
Masibulele* 115 (162 balls)
Sayce 0 (2 balls)
Last Wicket: Lee c. Walcott b. Jaco 36 (FOW: 284/4)

Masi brings up that 100 he missed in the "last" game

End of Over 16 (3 runs). Ball Droppers: 46-3, runrate=2.88 (1st Inn: 157-10)
Trail by 111 runs. (Fighting Mongooses 314-10)

Starting to feel bad. Really bad. Their first innings only went 55 overs; if they don't top that I'll miss a good 45k.

End of Over 41 (4 runs). SCIB: 140-3, runrate=3.41 (1st Inn: 132-10)
Trail by 88 runs. (Baggy Blues 360-10)
Hitish 16-1-56-0
Walcott* 10 (11 balls)
Sipho 73 (123 balls)
Last Wicket: Northrop st. Masibulele b. Mohammed 6 (FOW: 124/3)

Hopefully don't have to bat again, or worst case Masi doesn't have to bat.

End of Over 52 (Maiden). Ball Droppers: 104-7, runrate=2.00 (1st Inn: 157-10)
Trail by 53 runs. (Fighting Mongooses 314-10)

9 overs! Just don't get them out for 9 overs!

Better pray he put his tailenders on VD.

Wickets are coming much slower this dig, my opponent will be happy he got this into the 3rd day. Just don't need a repeat of what happened in that false start match.

End of Over 54 (1 runs). SCIB: 172-4, runrate=3.19 (1st Inn: 132-10)
Trail by 56 runs. (Baggy Blues 360-10)
Clayden 15-4-35-2
Walcott* 36 (48 balls)
Fadte 0 (12 balls)
Last Wicket: Sipho c. Masibulele b. Clayden 78 (FOW: 154/4)

1 wicket, 3 overs. Curse this effective bowling attack!

Ah frick.

Fighting Mongooses won by an innings and 36 runs.

I guess it works out, with an important OD game also this week. I might have a better chance now.

Ball Droppers 121 (58.4)
Wharrad 5/32
McKinley 4/9

Bad luck too bad he didn't have my Mohammed, he went 12 of 70 balls.
Need 5 wickets tomorrow which is really just 1 with his tail to follow after.

This is a joke, last week I annihalated my opponent, bowled him out for less than 20 in his first innings, now he's batted first scored 297ao and im sitting at 97/8!

The battrick match engine really pisses me off sometimes.....

Okay, so I got bowled out for 111 and was expecting to follow on but obviously my opponent didn't choose to follow on, so back went my bowlers to bowl them out for 112 :)

Pretty happy with that, now I just need 258 with 41 runs on the board with one wicket down. I reckon I'll make it though, just going to turn down the agression of some players in an attempt to prevent wickets from trying to score too quickly.

Drew last time, won by an innings and 15 runs this time. Knew which bowlers to utilise and gave them more attacking orders and longer spells. They took 17 of the 20 wickets for only 100 runs

Geez my batting and bowling is pathetic of late.

Had them 7/247
And then I went collapsing to 61 all out.

Another cracker. Plenty of starts, but it was a bowler's day and a slow bowler's day at that, in spite of conditions.
