In the last 27 overs we have scored 182 runs which is fast considering I want us to bat for ages. We're doing well and hopefully we'll have at least 7 wickets left at the end of the day.

Mcleod 13-0-36-1
Edgerley-harris* 31 (69 balls)
Mampe 22 (57 balls)

Another 80 runs or so and I am in a match winning position. I am 4th playing second so the win would be fantastic. Bonus points would see me overtake 3rd place.

100.2 4 Grady to Raisani
Raisani has cracked one through the covers.
And that's a century for Raisani! Well played indeed Sir!

100.6 W Grady to Raisani
Has anyone seen an off stump? Raisani appears to have lost his.

You plonk, Hameed.

Hodgson 275 (304 balls)
Last Wicket: Raisani b. Grady 104 (FOW: 657/3)

Everyone is batting on normal yet we're going at over 6 an over. Strange.

Harris out with two of the tail following in the next over.

Hopefully mampe can put on 21 more runs with the tail and I won't be behind after the first innings.

End of Over 78 (Maiden). Everton : 245-10, runrate=3.14
Lead by 17 runs. (icedgod 228-10)
Kealeboga 19-2-69-2
Mampe* 58 (99 balls)

Decided to open the bowling with 20 odd overs each from my spinners (done this once before to great success, but it's a gamble)

0.1 W Mampe to Lampard
Out! A brilliant ball - pitches well outside the line but jags back far enough to find the stumps. Lampard shakes his head in disappointment as he heads for the pavilion.
The players are off the field for the change of innings.

Looks like it might pay off. Yet again (last match id 2424872)

2.3 W Mampe to Semple
Spooned high into the air, and amazingly lands on his stumps.

Both openers gone for 0. If I can get another one out before they have eroded the deficit I should win easily.

4.5 W Mampe to Cornes
Edged! And taken by a tumbling Cox!

Oh wow. Shame Kirkland isn't chipping in.

Another quick wicket or two and I could win this today and lose 95k gates tomorrow.

11.5 W Kirkland to De silva
GOT HIM, YES! Beautiful ball by Kirkland that deceived De silva and ended up hitting him at shin height. Not a doubt in anyone's mind that was going on to hit middle and De silva strolls towards the pavilion.

31-4 now. I could be chasing less than 50 to win.

18.5 W Mampe to Mainey
Great reaction catch by Cox, taking a ball flicked down leg side at full stretch.

into the tail now

End of Over 19 (1 runs). icedgod: 45-5, runrate=2.37 (1st Inn: 228-10)
Lead by 28 runs. (Everton 245-10)
Mampe 10-1-21-4
Hickes* 18 (45 balls)
Moin 0 (1 balls)

Closing in on a famous victory.

End of Over 41 (Maiden). icedgod: 70-10, runrate=1.71 (1st Inn: 228-10)
Lead by 53 runs. (Everton 245-10)
Mampe 20-5-32-6
Easton* 2 (41 balls)

Spinners to open the bowling a lot more often from now on, then.

My batsmen have obviously been hammering the chrismas sherry a little early as I have been reduced to 0-4. Only needing 54 to win. PMSL

Been a good day so far and we could be able to declare and win tomorrow.

7 Mampe gone now.

It's all over. I have failed to chase 54 runs to win, with 4 sessions to do it and in sunny weather after making just under 5 times that in the first innings.

wtf?

Easton is a monster, though, I suppose.

Mampe gone, all hope is lost for you ste. They did poor second innings then so did you, pretty strange. It's taking ages for my player to get his 500. He has gone 10 balls without a run.

No chance of my tail sticking around and forcing a 3rdday either.

The rest day will be beneficial though.

End of Over 18 (1 runs, 4b). Everton : 29-8, runrate=1.61 (1st Inn: 245-10)
Trail by 24 runs. (icedgod 228-10 & 70-10)
Kealeboga 9-5-8-3
Potter* 2 (27 balls)
Kirkland 1 (24 balls)

The tail isn't giving up without a fight.

You lost by 24 runs, Ste. :(

1222/3 at the end of the day here. Hodgson managed 513* and Pilkington was the main man with 292* off 248 balls! Might declare at around 1300 tomorow.
