C'mon, smash it bot!

End of Over 24: 88-2, runrate=3.67
Marcel 7-2-28-1
Edge* 25 (32 balls)
Levy 35 (70 balls)
Last Wicket: Chuguel Run Out 17 (FOW: 41/2)

23.5 W Mcgrath to Liddle
Amazing play by Dyer. He was on the boundary and he jumped well to get a catch on the ball, and realising he'd fall onto the rope if he caught it, he pushed the ball up enough to return to the correct side and then reach out to regrab it.

Adam Voges eat your heart out!?!?!?!!!!

Not the greatest start in my return to Div 4

End of Over 30: 107-4, runrate=3.57
Hindle 5-1-10-0
Masibulele* 41 (86 balls)
Shet 3 (20 balls)
Last Wicket: Perkins b. Francois 0 (FOW: 102/4)

End of Over 34: 163-1, runrate=4.79
Dyer 7-0-30-0
Beevers* 19 (27 balls)
Kamara 88 (116 balls)
Last Wicket: Liddle c. Dyer b. Mcgrath 47 (FOW: 124/1)

Kamara is the one doing it for them...

If I get him then I could hopefully restrict them to about 240-250.

BT collapse ownage

End of Over 42: 159-8, runrate=3.79
Hindle 9-1-23-4
Masibulele* 64 (122 balls)
Chambers 0 (0 balls)
Last Wicket: Woods b. Hindle 0 (FOW: 159/8)
41.6 W Hindle to Woods
That's a beautiful googly. Woods swiped wildly but missed and the click of the stumps was heard.
41.6 nb. Hindle to Woods
no ball, Padded away.
41.5 . Hindle to Woods
Dot ball. Reading here that Hindle's favourite food is chicken curry. Cricketers really are down to earth people you know.
41.4 . Hindle to Woods
Oh dear, down goes the sightscreen and some of the groundstaff are there to pick it up again. Strong gust of wind that was.
41.3 W Hindle to Mampe
Mampe played all around that one. No-one is picking the Hindle wrong 'un.
41.2 W Hindle to Moodley
Gone for the big heave-ho, it's gone a long way up in the air. Francois is under it... and he takes it comfortably. Those ones are never easy, but he never had any doubt.
41.1 W Hindle to Shet
Shet steps down the pitch and lofts it high. Everyone seems to lose it, except Macey, who sets himself well and clutches the ball close to his chest.

OMFG! That has to suck. :p

41.6 W Mcgrath to Kamara
Mcgrath has done him like a kipper. Kamara is deceived by the one that goes the other way and is struck on the pad. There's few in the game who can disguise that delivery as well as Mcgrath; the man is a spin genius.

The spin genius at it again, finally gets him!
End of Over 43: 224-2, runrate=5.21
Collins 7-0-44-0
Beevers* 50 (53 balls)
Boyd 2 (2 balls)
Last Wicket: Kamara lbw b. Mcgrath 112 (FOW: 219/2)

Need to keep it tight these last few overs.

End of Over 45: 178-7, runrate=3.96
Wicks 8-0-31-2
Seddon* 13 (15 balls)
Wigg 0 (2 balls)
Last Wicket: Speight c. Kay b. Wicks 0 (FOW: 178/7)

Two from that over, 1 from the last. Not a bad target, I suppose.

It doesn't really matter if it's your 2XI.

Anyway I am playing a real tough team, best in my OD league and bowling first. Manders and Roper have ripped the heart out of his batting line-up :)

End of Over 43: 202-9, runrate=4.70
Manders 7-1-30-4
Schalk* 0 (5 balls)
Greenwood 0 (2 balls)

Last Wicket: Collins b. Manders 0 (FOW: 202/9)

Really hope my batsmen perform now...

I chased their 210 or so with 3 wickets down. I was looking shaky at 3/64, but Breen made a century and Mcclaren (I think) a fifty, both unbeaten, to steer to me an easy victory.

I made 3/306 then bowled them out for 218. So that means wins in my opening 2 games - not a bad start to a season that I expect to be a massive failure! So, after the first week of games (3 wins from 3 games) I'm pretty pumped but tbh it's only going to go downhill.

Was up against a bot...played my reserves.

They made 249/6 and my openers chased it down in 35 overs.

Got the run-rate nailed just need to make sure that I keep wickets in hand now

End of Over 16: 86-2, runrate=5.38, reqrunrate=3.74 (212-10)
Hallett 3-0-8-1
Tailor* 2 (6 balls)
Hollis 33 (32 balls)

Last Wicket: Ashmore b. Hallett 37 (FOW: 77/2)

They made a very good 295 but I was even better, amassing their total with only an over and a half to spare!

chart

My batsman really stepped up, Fontaine was really slow but my middle order picked up the pace late after a solid and quick opening stand from Street and Tretton.

I only just noticed that one of my players got a hattrick last match!

41.1 W Sotho to Odonague
OUT. Sotho bowls a good length ball to Odonague who gets a big outside edge to Mukhopadhyay who dives and takes a stunning catch. Well played.
41.2 W Sotho to Mould
Sotho delivers a straight ball that is fatally left alone by Mould. He should be happy that the stumps took the hit rather than his own legs. We'll need a new set of stumps.
41.3 W Sotho to Gooding
Gooding's gone. Fast and straight, Gooding closed the face of the bat a touch early trying to work it to the on side. It's gone straight up in the air and Mukhopadhyay settles under the catch.
