Now this is more like it. 3 fours hammered in the last 6 deliveries :) So my team isn't better than I though :)

I am only playing 6 batsmen, and the rest are proper tailenders. Hoult is a competant bowler with mediocre stamina and cons, but he is on invigorated fitness, so i played Chandler instead.

End of Over 18: 97-1, runrate=5.39, reqrunrate=6.03 (289-8)
Rudi 2-0-14-0
Hoult* 57 (63 balls)
Holme 36 (43 balls)

Steady chase, but runrate over 6 now.

30 over update
End of Over 30: 159-1, runrate=5.30, reqrunrate=6.55 (289-8)
Crouch 3-0-11-0
Hoult* 93 (102 balls)
Holme 56 (76 balls)
The partnership continues, and so does the increase in reqrunrate. If I get to about 210 after 40 overs with 3 or 4 wickets down, then I'll fancy my chances.

Wickets!!
33.4 W Crouch to Hoult
Huge shout for LBW and it's given! I'm not convinced there wasn't a nick there, dubious decision in my opinion.
Hoult gone for 95!!
31.2 W Crouch to Holme
That's a classy looking drive with one major problem, he missed the ball. The clatter of the ball hitting the stumps confirms his departure.

I am getting worried now. Two good batsmen at the crease still, with another one yet to come. But after that, its just the tail.

40 over update
End of Over 40: 206-3, runrate=5.15, reqrunrate=8.40 (289-8)
Atkinson 10-0-58-0
Mears* 23 (26 balls)
Udabadalawa 19 (19 balls)

All set up for a close finish. I am within my target of at least 200 from 40, with wickets in hand. Anything can happen now. I hope no wickets fall in the next 3-4 overs, as my lower order is very prone to a collapse.

Update:

End of Over 44: 246-4, runrate=5.59, reqrunrate=7.33 (289-8)
Crouch 7-0-42-3
Burnip* 3 (2 balls)
Udabadalawa 27 (26 balls)
Good going. I should win, unless there is a collapse of wickets at the end which often happens in my case.
43.4 W Crouch to Mears
How is that? He's given out! The umpire saw something I didn't
Mears out for 50 off 40 balls. Good knock by him.

Update
End of Over 47: 265-4, runrate=5.64, reqrunrate=8.33 (289-8)
Rudi 9-0-53-0
Burnip* 18 (16 balls)
Udabadalawa 31 (30 balls)

Very close game. Hopefully I should just win it.

And that's the end of the match. Cricket Geniuses won by 6 wickets.
TT Lions 289-8
Cricket Geniuses 292-4

Good game, and I won with a clinical chase. All my batsmen except my opener contributed, and a special innings by Hoult who was unlucky not to get a hundred.

What a close match! You won with only 3 balls to spare!
Crouch went for a few runs, but still - 99 not out and 3/74, he deserved the MOTM.

Code:
 TT Lions Cricket Geniuses
Top Order: abysmal competent
Middle Order: mediocre mediocre
Lower Order: competent worthless
Seam Bowling: respectable competent
Spin Bowling: mediocre mediocre
Fielding: mediocre feeble

Swap around my top order and lower order, and you'll be shocked to see my ratings were actually better! But then again, playing against a lineup of high primary players made it a close match. But a much better match than I anticipated! If I can nearly topple the best team in this league, I definately do deserve a spot in the quarter finals. Damn you W3lsh and Aussie match timings!!

29.4 1 Kent to Ainsworth
Makel has a shy at the stumps but Ainsworth is comfortably home for the single, his dab to mid off having just crept through the ring. Sound judgement from the men in the middle.
And that's a century for Ainsworth! Well played indeed Sir!

:)

I won by 6 wickets today. 2 in 2 now.Tseilo with his second century in two games.Orourke and Drummond contributed well also. Briggsey - The Panthers are coming for you....

End of Over 18: 102-0, runrate=5.67, reqrunrate=7.31 (335-5)
Hendrie 9-1-49-0
Cox* 61 (61 balls)
Delop 31 (49 balls)

Huge target, but off to a decent start. I won't mind Delop getting out though. Cox should bat the whole innings however.

Runrate has dropped, and Cox out. I'm in trouble.
End of Over 23: 108-1, runrate=4.70, reqrunrate=8.44 (335-5)
Wright 2-0-2-0
Bolder* 1 (5 balls)
Delop 31 (63 balls)

Last Wicket: Cox c. Alexander b. Marshall 64 (FOW: 105/1)
They were 142/1 at this stage.
Dunn is in next, then Crouch. Bunn after him, then Rudi and Dennis. Here is hoping for the best :upray

No mercy. No mercy at all :crying

End of Over 15: 62-4, runrate=4.13
Laws 1-0-1-0
Rowland* 3 (7 balls)
Islam 15 (18 balls)
Last Wicket: Edwards b. Hettiarachchi 20 (FOW: 44/4)

Be lucky to make 150. In fact, that would be an impressive feat.
These two seem to be trying to put up a struggle. Their going at a somewhat stale runrate, but it is on an uneven pitch.

2 disappointing ducks, ANOTHER royal duck (first ball of the innings) and another 3 ball duck for Bishop at 3, who I put in at 3 because he wasn't finding 4 very good. He looks like a number 5 or 6.
