Commonwealth Bank Series Feb-Mar 2011/12

Excellent to have gotten two quick wickets, that too of well set batsmen in the Batting Powerplay. Matthews and Chandimal grossly underestimated Rohit Sharma's fielding capabilities.

Highly impressed with Vinay Kumar on this tour. Where did he get this form out of? Irfan has been excellent too. Ashwin has been economical and not bad. Jadeja seems to be doing bad in a trot. Should have rested him for this game since Irfan's batting has come in. Maybe Rahul Sharma should have plaeyd today. Restricting them to 250 odd is a big possibility. On this pitch 280 is needed.

Great wicket there, Ashwin!!!! Dhoni attacked with two slips. Ashwin bowled a beautiful and enticing flighted delivery and Perera obliged by miscuing it. Bring such attacking fields more often, MS!!!! That field probably did Perera in.

The team looks far more confident now. Looks like they have truly put the test series shocker in the backburner. Winning three in a row would be awesome.

A strange innings where the middle overs were the best for batsmen. One wonders whether it was truly that difficult a pitch or if Sri Lanka were simply poor aside from Chandimal and Jayawardene. Possibly the difference between them scoring 230 and 250 was the bowling at the start. However, after that the bowling really only took one wicket, the rest a sort of hackish compilation of run outs and attempted slogs. India should be in position to make another victorious chase.

Dam Chandimal is becoming one consistent batsmen, his stats are starting to go the way of Kohli (pre last 2 innings).

You just get that feeling this one is going down to the wire

Same thing repeated :( leaving it way tooooo late

Brilliant captaincy by Jaya.

----------

keeping it tight really. India need big hits to win now:thumbs

Unless Dhoni rescues us again, this is yet another example of him being far too cautious and leaving it far too late.

----------

Oh wow, this is a thriller. Can't leave too many to get off the last over with Malinga bowling it.

No rescue act today. Mallinga will bowl the last over. Its tough getting 4 runs from the last over against him, let alone 14.
