Appalling, absolutely appaling. You should be ashamed of yourself for this post.
I've watched England get hammered at ridiculous hours for the entire test series, and the majority of the Odi series, and here you are going off into some sulk just before a match winning partnership

To defend myself, it isn't easy being the only NZ fan who frequently posts on these forums. I keep having to stick up for the players because I know the potential they have. When we collapsed again, I thought, no way am I facing you England fans smart arsed comments about it and more of the Australian fans calling them pathetic. Not going to do that, so i'll take a break until we are winning again. Turns out, we totally routed you, and I watched it all but 50 runs between Oram and McCullum.
Seriously though, I over-reacted. I can take losing, but losing to England twice in a row would really piss me off. Losing to Australia is different, they're expected to win everything, them winning by a low margin probably frustrated me a little too. A big chance and we butchered it. It wasn't sulking, it was anger. The media articles in the papers don't help either. Always negative. I bet something will be on them this morning pointing out the poor batting again before the fact we won.
The bowling argument, I would love to start a debate on. But some of you take things too literally. Funny how you jump at my comment that we have the best bowling but you ignore me saying we have the worst batting. Typical. Of course we don't have the worst batting. That would belong with Bangladesh, England, maybe a few other teams who I bette rnot name or I will start something else up. It;s merely a saying. Best, in cricket can be backed up, but mainly it'll be due to opinion.

i would still expect to beat NZ in the world cup when we've got Pietersen back
Prepare to be let down. Our batting should be fixed by that stage.
But on the match. It was fantastic to see Vettori dominating again. It's because England took him on, and no one suceeded in putting him out of the park. Usually teams will just let him walk over them and put away a poor ball if he ever bowls one. Didn't bowl 1 today! I consider the first 3 wickets he got crucial and the 4th important.
Franklin at the top made great use of the pressure Bondy was putting on. He was very tidy. Bond finished off the tail nicely. He bowled with some real pace today for some balls. Hope he scrubbs up fire today and can play at least 1 game in Perth. I'd rest him for against England, 2 back to back games may take it's toll again and we have Mills back, so we can cover for it. Play Patel too for some extra wicket taking.
Our fieling was top notch. We needed that against Australia. Not 1 misfield and the only fumble was that catch McCullum still took. SOme brilliant catches and Fleming was brilliant in the slips. The only way he could have been better is by taking what would have been a blinder off Collingwood in Vettori's first ball.
