Commonwealth Bank Series

It's the 3rd time hes stuffed up when the pressure is on, I've been defending him before that but 3 times and you're out.
Firstly, it's very harsh when only two batsmen didn't fail to do the job, secondly, it creates an unreasonable image of the other batsman, Hussey for example, the great finisher, has scored just one half century on the chase. Clearly, he hasn't been expected to do all that much in these situations.

Sure, a more experienced player will be less likely to drop under pressure, but the pressure there was beyond reason. Score 200 batting with the tail?

I do see your point, he should have made more of an effort, with better resolve and finish the innings regardless of the total. However, the bowlers failed to keep the total under control and the six batsmen before him failed to make decent inroads on the target. It's very harsh to make him the fall guy, especially when he put in a decent bowling performance.

Take That Hodge Out . We hve already given him many chances, Now no more .

How much faith is Ponting going to have in White's bowling though? I certainly wouldn't want to depend on him on those Caribbean pitches. Hogg could have done a better job with the ball and has shown he can bat down the order. White's in there for his batting and hes yet to perform during a chase not exactly what you want.

Well one thing they proved that without Punter they dont know how to play .Bunch of Uselss :mad

Haha, Poor aussies lost to England. Well, you guys did lose to Bangladesh too, this isn't as bad.

They didn't look themselves the Aussies today. Tait dropped that crucial catch, in the end, Aussies would have backed themselves to chase 280 but Plunkett got the crucial wickets of Gilchrist and Clarke. Hayden threw his wicket away and Hodge is far too nervous (Not an easy situation for him though). Then of course we know all about Symonds and Hussey timed a failure badly. Apart from Plunkett the bowling was ordinary, so the Aussies will be dissapointed.

At least we'll win. I'm a bit dissapointed Aussies lost since they;re my second faves, but I guess every team has to lose every now and then.

TBH, I don't believe having 4 specialist pacemen is a good idea at all. I'd hope they will do away with it when they finish experimenting with the WC side, but I doubt it. I think if Watson is good, then the choice is of White at seven or Watson at four, with Hogg playing almost every match.

lol imagine if the english won a match which counted

What happened to Johnson? Is he injured?

I think the Aussies got far too carried away with all this rotation.

Hussey's a more complete batsman and he'll always be more relieable as a finisher. White's more of a waste at 7, seeing as he is the least preferred of the part-timers. May as well play a Brad Hogg who averages better then White with the bat anyway.

Can't see them giving up on the 4 specialist pacemen they have basically banked on that idea.
Watson looks like he'll be brought in on Sunday now that Symonds is injured so guess they could try him at 4 then.
