Cricket 19 General Discussion

Good day guys,
Do we have to restart career mode after this new patch to get the effect of this new patch?

AI field placements is still the same after new patch. when a fast bowler bowls outside the powerplay they just have one fielder out of the 15 yard circle on the offside and legside is more covered. only when spinners bowl is the field completely evenly spreadout . its easy to hit boundaries on offside as only one fielder is on the boundary on the offside like the previous 2 patches.this is in t20 as I have not yet played other formats since new patch on xbox one s.

I played a T20 after new patch on XB1 using Dale's 1993 county teams. I experienced that AI not trying to place any fielder in deep long on even though I hit 3 consecutive boundaries in the same area. This issue has been existing since long time.

So I batted for about 15 overs and bowled for 15 with the new patch.

Highlights improvements were greatly received. Although on the original Xbox it was a bit slow to start and the first highlight was missed.

My first edge whilst bowling went straight for four as normal. However I did get Harris out edging off of a bouncer from Archer going to Root at slip.

Great to see the AI batsman running better, and I even ran Warner out with an ambitious 3.

Haven’t bowled enough to check ball wear yet.

Ball Wear in T20

About ball wearing:
1. 1st 10 overs you can see logo on both sides of the ball.
2. 10-20 overs the logo fades out on one side. Shine on both sides.
3. 30-40 overs the logo nearly disappeared on one side. Shine still intact on both sides.
4. In progress...

Notes:
I haven't simulated a single over.
Continuing the ashes test match after the patch.
Green pitch with fast wearing pitch and heavy cracks.
Didn't see much difference in swing or seam from 1st over to 40 overs.
AI is bowling.

The faster throws by AI fielders is a lot satisfying.

I played a CWC, after I chose to bat, Around the 22 over, the game was curtailed to 32 overs. I scored 223/9 and the As per DLS the opponent got 214 as target in 32 overs. Later the around the 29 over mark (opposition requiring around 50 in 17-18 balls) the game curtailed to 31overs with opposition needed 38 off 13 balls (Target revised to 201). Even after restricting the opposition to 192, the result is mentioned as I lost by 6 wickets(D/L).

I feel the (D/L) system is yet not fixed fully.

I played all of about 15 balls earlier on new patch (for reasons of no time/low charged controller) and the improved fielding was immediately noticeable and excellent.

I don't know if it was actual or me forgetting what it was like before (i've not played in months and been so busy i hardly remember what the game was like tbh!) but it also seemed like there was more realistic seam movement on a grassy pitch (i.e. significant but not cartoonish)
