Cricket 19 General Discussion

I did. 1.11 is the latest update on my end. Also the update history for 1.11 matches what was earlier posted by @Mohammed Sherry. Does geographical location has any impact on the version numbers?
Yes there is a difference in versions based on Geo. The American version will show one version less, though it is the latest.

Anyone seen highlights on xbox? The first few seconds is not showing for each highlight and because of this the main part of the highlight is missing... I mean ball hitting bat. Its definetly not like the way its showing in @Mohammed Sherry highlights.[DOUBLEPOST=1570904463][/DOUBLEPOST]Bowling line issue for left hand bowlers to right hand batsmen n vice versa is not completely fixed but it is not as bad as earlier. Still need tuning.
I only included the ones which did show up fine. Most of the replays in the Highlights package was way off the mark. I wish there was an option to disable it completely.

The wicket keeper still require a lot of work to be done. Still reacts to every delivery as it is coming to him, takes catches off thick edges by teleporting, And walks through the batsman to collect the ball.

I am playing a test match as India against Australia on hard/dry pitch. My observations
1) I am bowling as India after 80 overs, yeah the ball deteriorating and ball wearing is good after this patch.
2) AI running between wickets is fantastic
3) I got 2 AI batsmen run outs
4) Human fielder Slide/ dive is still not working with LT/L2.
5) pitch behaviour according to my 80 over playtime is good
6) Good length deliveries few times hitting the batsman body, as batsmen trying to leave the ball.
7) Highlights on Xbox missing first few seconds.
Thanks BigAnt for support

This is the red ball of 80 overs age in a test match.

The latest patch has improved the gameplay but the one thing which is holding the game back is the poor choice of fields/field sets which AI makes. As an example, I played a few ODI matches with the latest patch and saw that the fields the AI sets between overs 10-40 aren't that good, especially for the pacers. For spinners the fields are decent enough but work needs for the pace related field sets which AI selects.

For starters, quite often the field selected for pace bowlers between overs 10-40 have only 3 fielders in the outfield irrespective of the run rate and the match situation. Secondly the AI quite often selects a field which has no sweeper/boundary rider on the off side (Deep Cover or Deep Cover Point) which leads to easy boundaries and AI doesn't change the field despite boundaries through the area. IIRC the go to field which the AI sticks to is "PACE LO BAL 13" field. If this issue could be addressed and if the AI selects better fields, it would take the game to a different level altogether.

I think this topic needs a separate thread and will create one for discussion specific to AI fields and possible options to address the same.
this is the only thing to fix now. The ai field placements for pace bowlers.

I am facing an issue in the same test match after bowling 80 overs that "DRS HUD" is not appearing in game to appeal. I don't know about new rules of ICC. Few umpire decisions I wanted to go for review. But no HUD to appeal. So I lost close calls. Of course before 80 overs HUD was there

Yes. I played against Australia on a hard pitch without a single buy from bouncer. Also the wicket keeper is not jumping/running towards the ball. But, now the 1st slip fielder will try to stop the ball by jumping behind the wicket keeper, if missed by wicket keeper.

3 consecutive deliveries where the 1st slip dived to stop the ball. All 3 deliveries were full pitched and out swingers. This did not happen prior to latest patch.

Delving into the real world, as skipper last year I remember standing at 1st slip and stopped at least a dozen and was diving across regularly as our wicketkeeper was rusty to say the least! Encouraging to hear about this patch and the game in my view is just going from strength to strength unlike my bruised hands from stopping multiple byes at slip!

Field setting seem to have changed. Fielders throwing is less loopy and I noticed the over count etc shows on the highlights, also double stats bug in Academy seems to have been sorted but I think may have been since the previous patch. Haven't been as active recently.

Wish fielders would throw with the correct hand and not occasionally just let the ball roll past them but grateful for further enhancements. Thought they'd maybe moved on.

I still have a problem where I can't edit some players, not scanned players either. Just seems a bit random.

Oh... and why do Test matches often default to start (9:30) and therefore finish so early?

Yes I've noticed slip been a bit keen but edging to the keeper is the most satisfying thing in this game (Well, and knocking over the stumps!). I can't get enough of it. In fact so much so that compared with previous Big Ant games I now actually prefer the grafting of bowling for the reward of a wicket than I do the thrill (Chore?) of batting!

Certainly there have been scenarios from my playing days when the slip fielders had to intervene to do a keepers job. But if you look closely, you will notice, the keeper is purely unresponsive to a ball that hits his chest. Now that definitely does not happen in real world scenario. Also the deliveries were not wild enough for 1st slip fielder to intervene.

Dont get me wrong, i love this game. I have been playing this game since the day it came out, pretty much every single day.
