Cricket 19 General Discussion

Yes, hadn’t for a while but then had several in this last match.

maybe the problem all along was ive not been playing on a hard pitch or had lowered bounce because of the stupid bouncer wide problems at launch... now they’ve been sorted I can play on proper pitches
My best experience is on harder pitches with good bounce. Possibly grassy/dry. I can still get some bouncer wides but it's not as bad.

I think there's a good argument for upping the bounce on Soft and Very Soft pitches because I think the bounce is too low, particularly for spinners. There's not nearly enough bite from spinners and I think it must because the bowling speeds are so slow when you get down to 55 mph.

see I think the bounce is far too high on all pitches... on a hard pitch even full balls and especially full balls with the shorter trigger will regularly go over the stumps or be played by AI off the back foot[DOUBLEPOST=1586169636][/DOUBLEPOST]
Playing forward and defending to a ball you should be going back to will get a Nick I know that for sure!

testify!!

I think that's potentially more of an AI shot selection issue. I had them often leaving full to yorker length deliveries.

Should mention I'm not getting frame drops really, its more animation stuttering. If you think back to DBC 17 when there were replays and the ball animation would be choppy as hell. Kinda like that.

@AnkitC I'll try VSync off now and see how it goes. Although I think I have it off by default because I have a g-sync monitor.

Ahh, nicks behind off defensive shots really are linked to bounce and playing the wrong length. Loving the depth while batting.

Pretty sure with isolation going on chances of a patch are minimal at best.

I would have thought a video-game company should be pretty well set up for remote/distributed working.

If BA aren't they'll suffer - because right now video games are in demand. If you look at the markets games companies are like amazon, netflix etc. in doing well. So while a patch might not be high priority (not much new revenue in that i guess), if they aren't able to deliver new games, they'll be in trouble.

I think a lot, if not most, companies won't be set up for this when it's clear governments haven't been. Some workers being able to work remotely but an entire staff is a different matter. You can plan for it, but it's unlikely many companies would do.

Read a great article about Everton yesterday and how after seeing a report in January about the virus the chief executive leapt into action. She had a pandemic plan drawn up, assessd the impact on the club, the staffing to make sure they'd all get paid and ensured the charity arm of the club would be able to step things up (they already do amazing work in the community).

Agreed. But I'm sure they can still do some work at home, things from an art direction pov like faces, uniforms etc.

Can you go into a bit more detail here? Adjust them per save, session????
I started a match with a preset for physics loaded. It had increased bounce and low bowling speed. It was a bit too much so I took it down but it didn't seem to change the actual bounce. Haven't tried through different sessions/saves just playing around with pitches.

The faded image is a with bounce at 6, changed from 56 which is the other.

Increased to 100 and no change.

Edit - I did save/exit/load and the change worked.

I don't want to be that guy, but has anyone been caught in the ring while batting? (Unless playing a slog shot)?

I remember batting in the past, mistiming it and being caught at cover, but I haven't had anything like that in at least 300 overs of batting... I have fairly challenging sliders set up and I mistime the ball often, and get out edged plenty of times...

Been caught at short cover with mistimed drives once or twice, but nowhere near frequent enough
