Don't have a PS5, got a PS4 only. What will I be missing in terms of gameplay?

I did with JBHIFI let see when ill be getting it.
Let us know if you get it, I’m holding off till payday haha. Will get it from jbhifi though.
Sounds like I missed a lot of fun
There was a couple of things that were said by someone (about certain aspects of big ants promotion of the game) that probably didn’t need to be said. Specially in this day and age. Got me worked up that’s for sure :p

Based on what I’ve read and heard, I don’t think there is any difference gameplay wise between new gen and old gen. Differences might mostly be limited to visuals and loading times (and maybe performance too)

So many of these people need to pump their brakes. Literally shown a one minute thirty trailer of a nets mini-game and nets session demo and people are losing their s**t. Personally all the people whinging about graphics etc need to grow up.

I get the sense Ross and co. are getting real sick of a particular part of the fanbase carrying on like morons. They're based in Melbourne, we've had the longest amount of lockdowns in total for the last two years. Its been hard, real hard much like everywhere else. The fact that they've managed to get a game ready is an accomplishment. The last thing they would probably want to hear is a bunch of entitled f-wits carrying on. Personally, I think BA have done a great job from what I've seen, no game is perfect, none, and from what I've seen so far looks great (and yes I've warmed up to it a bit the last few days, because I've waited to SEE what the game is doing thus far, not pre-emptive whinging).

Edit: This isn't directed at you Mohammed, I think you're cool. =)
This is the state of the gaming community in recent times, unfortunately. A new game is announced, a trailer is released and the gameplay shown still in alpha stage or something like that evidenced by a message watermarked within the footage and people still complain about the graphics. The advent of these new consoles that support 4K resolutions have spoiled people to the point that they only base their gaming interests on graphics rather than focus on the important aspects like gameplay, character development, world-building etc. Happens all the time and it's not going to change.

Trailer and Teaser is 2 different things ...

Sure, but my point still stands. Whether it be a teaser or trailer, people still complain about graphics.
I play Full Ace Tennis and the graphics are pretty awful even by the devs own admission but the game play is phenomenal, really hands down the best tennis game I have ever played in terms of physics and thus gameplay. The thing is when you are stretching and just getting that double-back handed screamer down the line past the flailing raquet of the opponent you just dont notice the graphics at all, you dont care because the gameplay is so good, so enthralling, so immersive that its just very very very satisfying to play.

That's why gameplay is king and until we have been able to really experience the gameplay we just cant pass judgement. There should actually be a word for it: graphisism: judging the depth of a game by outer appearances!

This is not related to BigAnt games but generally While I agree gameplay is king and always will be, sports games should strive for complete immersion which can be achieved through a combination of

1. Gameplay
2. Animations
3. Graphics
4. Commentary (I keep it for the last since it’s extremely difficult for sports games to get this right)

Coming to BigAnt cricket, I feel they have got the gameplay sorted to a very large extent and can now focus more and more on Animations (not saying they won’t have focused on it with cricket 22 as I can’t really comment on it till I have seen the game in action on the field).

Mods can you add this list of sites one can place preorder from for different countries in the information round up thread?

India:

Australia:

South Africa:

UK:

Was just wondering if they would have world competitions like the World Cup or wt20 given the forthcoming one’s are in non licensed countries; haven’t seen them promoting till now.
