Cricket 24 - General Discussion

The line that licensed players having their own animations is alone for me to purchase the game even if not all the licensed players having unique animations.

Yeah now this does add quite a bit to the game. Animations are a game changer!

Yea if they have an actual impact on the gameplay, like particular bowling action make it hard to read outswing or particular shot animation having bigger chance to connect the ball and tailenders batting animations make it difficult to connect the ball

Look at the player models from DBC and now it’s beyond belief what’s happened

This exactly what I was referring to. Not just look at the player models, but the ground and every other textures as well. DBC 14 was mind blowing in these aspects. Some of these need to be brought back, newer graphics standards would surely amplify them leaving no complains there possibly.

Damn DBC 14 was so ahead of its time, we're still there comparing a game of a decade later and yet it stands out. What a game! I'd love to know too why the graphics look so different.

A question to the insiders or whoever can answer - what did they change in DBC17? was it the game engine or the whole team itself?

I enjoyed cricket 22 so all I want is dynamic weather and pitches .

Do that and the game will be superb

We don't have play and misses like this either anymore
Yeh just been watching YouTube videos myself the atmosphere the player sounds the sound of ball off bat what has gone so wrong recently? I love those play and misses feels so authentic especially the ones where you get the faintest nick to slips don’t see them at all now

To say it's remotely anywhere like Trickstar is ridiculous.

They may be buggy on release but 22 as a product is not a bad game at all.

My comment was in reference to their attitude.

One thing I have been calling for for a few years is building upon the previous.
This! Every time they come up with a okay at best product at launch and then through the famous 'rapid patching' and later proper patching, things take a turn for Good after few months.

But what annoys me most is that, why on Earth do we have to face the same issues which were already patched in the previous game, somehow magically reappear in the new game on launch and they go on this 'patching spree' which is unhealthy both for them and the players to fix things they already did in their previous title..

Like I'm genuinely curious on why they keep on picking up from the launch/older build of previous game which is clearly retrograde and not pick up from the previous title's final build. What difficulty are they facing in implementing that is just beyond my imagination.

I was hopeful this time since C22 was headed in right direction but now after seeing the dev diary, I'm afraid we might be headed towards this same old scenario :(
