Yeh them top one is new looks fresh the bottom is an exact pull from 22 is it not or am I missing something ? Spent too many hours looking at it

Well it's the same score bar.. whether that's just been captured before new one is implemented I have no idea.

Would be a bit strange if that is the case. Would also be a bit strange if Australia had their own one. Although at least that's variety.

Can’t believe people (lots of them) believe they are watching cricket 22 in the video and BA are going to surprise us with something radical when launched. The score hud hasn’t changed one bit thought that would be an easy thing to freshen up. As for using khawaja 2019 stats in the clips they’ve shown us that just boggles my mind. Surely not ? Surely ?
Their incompetence is incredible. Not only to have the audacity to release a game without changing glaring errors from the previous one but to actually highlight these mistakes in their promotional video is absolutely unbelievable.

Yeh I meant the scorecard mate exactly the same isn’t it

One thing that’s a bit irritating from the dev diary: if you’re going to focus on licences, would be nice to have a list of them all at some point

Been loyal since DBC 14 but I guess time to skip this one big time, Bug Ant studios needs competition like seriously all games they develop are the ones have no other competition hence they get away with it, looks like gotta focus on other games cant be spending money on cricket 22 dlc anymore. In my personal opinion licensing alone cannot make a game better and from the clips in the video it is copy paste of previous iteration didnt notice a single change even outfields which were discussed a lot here in forums remain the same utter disappointment. I usually dont say much but now I see why this game was kept under the radar till last min coz nothing changed. Ross hope you stretch out coz you will be blocking lot of people on twitter after this one, but I know you will manage coz thats what you do best.

Not always but often Codemaster got things right. Although outdated by today's standards BLIC'99 certainly was and remains an exceptional cricket game. Even their Ashes 09 and Cricket 10 were excellent products when compared to BA's cricket games. Sadly, Codemaster is unlikely to return to cricket games and we are stuck with BA for the unforeseeable future. BA has lived long enough to become the villain. It has become what it despised the most, the Trickstar Games.

To say it's remotely anywhere like Trickstar is ridiculous.

They may be buggy on release but 22 as a product is not a bad game at all.

My first impressions looking at the video they released - the slim tall weird clay models are back. They seriously need a better modeling team if they really wanted to bring in better visuals, licensing does no good if put those on poorly shaped models who barely look humans, or like the elastic guy in fantastic four.

Youtube just popped up a video of a cricket game on mobile and... these games genuinely have better textures than BA does. Switching back to a C22 video appeared like a highly animated visual, something like a cartoon video of a decade ago. Not sure how we're calling them realistic. DBC14 looked so much better with respect to textures.

... All of this after gameplay any day though.

However, with this new game (or a more licensed old game), it's pretty clear that they're gonna do what the folks inside the company feel over what the audience or consumer does. Not taking away anything from BA for all they've done with Cricket games in the last decade but I genuinely feel there should be another firm making these cricket games putting up a tough competition.

IGN haven't got hold of this game and we are only getting screenshots tomorrow, this is looking well dodgy.
Just hope it releases on time on Xbox, don't want another mess like AFL.

Surely they won’t be dumb enough to churn big chunk of money on the licenses alone and repackage the cricket 22 with some tweaks here and there , no one would purchase the game for licenses alone if the core game is still cricket 22 a, that would be like shooting on the foot , surely there be will some good gameplay enhancements like new batting /bowling animations new fielding overhaul may be a new commentators pair as well, some necessary tweaks to career mode that’s about it , we might not see the improvements to pitches or more hardcore stuff like career mode simulation , players developments and selection however there will be some improvements in gameplay definitely but they want us to purchase the game and see the improvements from ourselves and do the marketing for them. That’s what I infer from Mattw post

IMO you should explore each n every corner of the game if you are enthusiast
- online as well as offline
In offline, challenge yourself up against AI with using Custom sliders (difficulties)
In Online, You already Knows it :winky:
still with 2600+ hours gameplay i can play more.

A lot of Ross's travel expenses for licensing could have been spent on these.

The big tall clay models were terrible at start of c22 but a patch came early on and seemed to improve it hopefully that can be done again although really should be done from day 1 the AFL models are the same they look like dolls

I would definitely consider Cricket 22 a big upgrade over Cricket 19 in many ways and I was happy with my purchase even though the game wasn’t perfect, if there is same sort of incremental upgrade is made over Cricket 22 in Cricket 24 then my money is well spent.

The line that licensed players having their own animations is alone good enough for me to purchase the game even if not all the licensed players having unique animations.
